The dark energy that Isiah had left within her body was still present in parts of her arm, relentlessly burning her skin with an intensity that was hard to bear. The female mage was amazed that Lexie had even managed to survive this long, as the energy was so powerful and seemed to have taken root within her.
As Lexie expressed her gratitude for the relief from the pain, the female mage couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt and helplessness. She knew that she had not been able to heal her fully and that the wounds that remained would cause her much pain and suffering in the days to come.
Lexie, sensing the fear and anxiety that the female mage was experiencing, tried to reassure her, saying, "It's okay, you couldn't heal it anyway, even if you tried."
The mage's eyes widened in shock, as she realized that Lexie had understood the limits of her abilities. She had not expected the wounded girl to have such insight and understanding, and her heart went out to her.
