Recap: By the time the couple made their way up the stairs with Aurora choosing to stay in her old room, Acacius had made himself at home on the couch spreading his wings to stretch after the long day and night they had just had.
By the time day broke, Ophelia had been pacing for hours, the courage she had before daylight had all but vanished. Her thoughts were a train wreck. She was thinking about all the possible results of her intended confrontations with the city's founders or the elder's council who represented them now. The elders who had decided she was evil incarnate were long gone now but if the current authorities kept their citizens aware of her existence without knowing the full story or at least her side of the story then they were as well complicit in the crime.
