Unfortunately, in any given intelligent society, the myriad of beings driven by self-interest and greed would encounter frequent conflicts. Displays of aggression, anger, and violence were rather common.
It was difficult to determine whether such qualities had increased unless they became too much, displaying evil tendencies, excessive brutality, or clear psychosis.
