Facing a monster with almost undying physiology and a rabid nature that would fluster even the most seasoned of warriors, Elena was at a loss.
At least on her first meeting, that is. To deal with such a creature was simple the more she thought about it. Enhancing her senses, she could vaguely tell the brainwaves of the Man-eater were the only thing still alive in the body.
Thus, it was just a question of removing it. Detaching the brain from the rest of the body would cause its body to quickly die off and with no body to make use of to search for food for nourishment, the brain would quickly die off.
Once she figured it out, everything else was easy. As she stared at the Man-eater struggling to grab a hold of her, she made her move.
She attempted to move her blade from its chest and split its head, alas, she was met with resistance. She immediately frowned as she realized that the Man-eater's bones were akin to steel, quite difficult to break unless she charged her blade.
