As if to confirm her thoughts, a massive flower stalk erupted from the top of the giant tree, its bud aimed directly at the ground.
Danger Sense blared alarms in Evan's head, and he instantly summoned the Gazebind Aegis at the same moment the bud bloomed into a flower and fired a beam of pure creation energy straight at him.
The beam tore through the air at hypersonic speed, reaching him in less than a second, piercing clean through his Stout Guardian and slamming into the Gazebind Aegis with such overwhelming force that it pushed him backwards.
'Damn it… this thing's making Stout Guardian feel useless.'
