I was about to contemplate on some heavy topics but I withheld myself from doing so. Currently we are sitting in Fiona's house. I visited last week and it's tue same as ever.
Feels like it's been a while since I actually stayed in Jupiter. Three months is a long time but the flow of time is different from The Free World.
"I didn't expect her to kick us out." (Keith)
"It's to be expected. She may not seem like it but she likes gossiping. And yes, she loves love stories. She did intervene with Serus and his love life as well." (Seina)
"So, she is just nosy mother-in law!"
That's the impression I get from her. She loves to play the cupid.
"Well, she still isn't over the death of her son and his wife so she is trying to distract herself. Being a creator while having a human ego is hard." (Seina)
Seina looks sad. Maybe he empathizes with her.
What can we do now? Keith has visited this place before albeit briefly. It was to retrieve a fragment of Yami.
Seina has never been to Jupiter. I was thinking of going on a sightseeing tour but Seina got a message.
"I have to go." (Seina)
"What happened? You look distressed." (Keith)
The message made him worried for some reason.
"It's Anabelle. You know, Harry's daughter. She is missing. She had an argument with her mother and ran away. Now she is nowhere to be found." (Seina)
Keith makes a face that screams, "Interesting!". I have heard of that name before. Another creator.
"Are they sure she isn't on their world?" (Keith)
"Yeah. They are positive which is why they are asking for our help. With the war going on, it's unsafe to travel between worlds. More so if the traveler is a novice." (Seina)
Saying that he leaves.
"He probably went to his world. How about we go outside and search as well?" (Keith)
He looks at me wanting confirmation.
"But I don't even know what she looks like."
"I know. Don't worry. Just come with me." (Keith)
We both leave the house. It's morning and the road is crowded. Must be a busy day.
Keith is walking like he has a destination in mind and I just follow him.
We are currently walking towards the guild. Why are we going towards the guild? But Keith stops and looks to the side.
I look as well and it's a familiar place. It's Pablo's General Store. Why are we here?
Keith enters and I follow. He goes to the reception and I find a new face.
It's a girl probably my age. But she looks at us and freezes. My intuition tells me that this is the target.
"Dear Anabelle, why are you here?" (Keith)
She doesn't answer. She is just staring at Keith but she finally recomposed herself and looked away.
"It's of no use. I know who you are and judging from your reaction, you have an idea of who I am. Your cover was blown the moment you showed a reaction upon seeing me." (Keith)
She bit her lips. She is frustrated but whatever Keith said was true.
I was wondering where Ms. Pablo was but she came through the door behind the reception.
"Hmm..oh, we have customers. Hello, Mr. Belmont. It has been a while." (Montana)
"You too, Ms. Pablo. It has been a long time."
She was going to ignore Anabelle and Keith staring at each other but she sighs.
"Dear customer, would you please avert your gaze? She clearly does not like being stared at." (Montana)
"Yeah, how long are you going to stare at her?" (Keith)
I tug at Keith as Ms. Pablo asks him to stop staring at Anabelle.
"Pardon me. I was just confirming something. By the way Ms. Pablo, how did you come to meet with this young lady?" (Keith)
"I found her yesterday, wandering around the outskirts of the capital. It seemed like she was lost so I decided to help her." (Montana)
Anabelle has a very conflicted face. Maybe she is deciding on what to do.
"How about we all take a break? We can discuss things somewhere better."
I decide to get all of us somewhere else. I teleport us back to Fiona's house. I also locked the store.
Ms. Pablo wasn't too surprised by this and Anabelle heaved a heavy sigh.
"I just fell." (Anabelle)
"You fell? From where? Grace or height?" (Keith)
"I was just running away from home when I fell. Somehow a hole opened up on the road and I fell in that. Next thing I know, I was here. I was in the forest but I followed the road and came to the city's gate. I was not allowed to enter so I was depressed when Ms. Pablo found me." (Anabelle)
A hole opened on the road and it directly transferred her to this world. Sounds suspicious and probably the work of a creator.
"It must have been a glitch. Due to the war, our systems are getting buggy. We can't debug that many bugs at once. I'll inform Harry and June." (Keith)
Anabelle wanted to say something but she hesitated.
Fine, I will tell them that I will send you home once you are calm." (Keith)
Anabelle silently expressed her gratitude. He also sent a message to Seina. Today has suddenly become hectic but I guess that's how it is for me these days.
