Fast forward time a bit and I am back in the Free World. I spent a lovely time with my family in Primis Societas. That's good and all but I had a sudden question that had been bugging me.
Sitting on my chair, I gaze at the screen. I zoom out and out and when the entire system was visible, I asked, myself.
"Who is the original creator of this system?"
It was audible and yes, everyone in the room heard it. Hazel, Fay, Aura and Samantha looked at me. I look at them.
"Yeah, this has been bugging me. Who created this system? It's not like it popped out of nowhere! Do you have any idea?"
They just had exasperated looks on their faces. Maybe my question was a little too sophisticated?
"No, it's not sophisticated. It's just annoying." (Samantha)
She read my mind.
"Before you ask me why I don't know, I just don't know the answer. It never occurred to me." (Samantha)
She answered my question before I got the chance.
"Still, someone might know. Maybe Kirin. That guy is erudition after all. He may know a thing or two. Perhaps Ethan. He also holds the key to the Akashik library. Shall we find out?"
"Master, I think we have more pressing issues than that." (Hazel)
"Yes but we aren't exactly cornered. We have the leeway to be a bit careless. How about it? A quick trip. But I think I can go visit Keith."
Keith is still living here. His system has become a prison of sorts so he obviously can't go there.
"You go. I'll be here to monitor the situation." (Fay)
"Aren't you interested though? You don't have to monitor everything manually."
"No. I think keeping an eye out is a good choice. Gwen should be free. Ask her." (Fay)
In the end, Fay, Hazel and Aura decided to stay behind.
Keith and his family are still staying in the Free World. They can't go home because it's still a prison.
Clive, Gwen and Samantha go to visit Keith.
"Keith, are you awake?"
"Yeah. I was just thinking. Anyway, what brings you here?" (Keith)
"I had a sudden question. Who created this world?"
He asked straightaway.
"That's hard to answer. Because the original creator has requested for the data to be classified." (Keith)
He says that but his face has a grin. He is probably teasing Clive.
"Come on now. Don't play coy."
"I get it. The original creator of this system is Melissa. You haven't met her yet." (Keith)
So the original creator is still around. I thought they had retired or kicked the bucket. Well, how do we even die? Being immortal is in itself a contradiction.
"But I think she would be visiting you soon." (Keith)
"Hmm..why would she visit me?"
If she has left, why would she come back?
"She still has some unfinished business here. And she wants to meet the successor to her son. In a sense, you are her spiritual grandson." (Keith)
"Wait, was the previous harbinger of death her son?"
"Yes. She was his biological mother. She have birth to him while being a creator. Sure we creators cling to our human nature. But most tend to avoid the primitive way of giving birth. She took the risk and gave birth like a human. It was considered to be pretty odd. Well that's what Constant said." (Keith)
That is a shocking revelation. Who would have thought that her son was a part of the administration of this system?
"Hmm..well, she will explain it once she gets here. And I believe she will bring Serus with her." (Keith)
Keith mentioned a name which I didn't know.
"Is Serus another one of the creators?"
"Yes. He is a part of your generation. You both will ascend properly around the same time. You may believe that the procedure for your ascent is done. But that's far from over. You are the temporary creator. You have to make this system acknowledge you." (Keith)
This is getting more complicated. I was here to get some answers. But now I am being told that the job's not over. This is weird.
Anyway, I will just bide my time and wait.
