The Judge laughed, "Then tell me what you think."
Little Taotie frowned slightly, her little face quite serious: "Originally, helping someone is a good deed, but if you've done bad things to this person before, committed evil, then all subsequent seemingly good deeds are not called good deeds, that's called... what's it called..."
Little Taotie slapped her forehead, her little face softened, her Little Dimple sank in, showing a shy and cute smile, sweet as honey.
"I remembered, that's called making amends, not doing good."
If changing the perspective on past evil deeds to help someone counts as good deeds, then many will want to foster goodness with evil. So such actions at most cancel out past malice, but not completely. It just cancels out a small part.
