Little Taotie and Yuanyuan's names were submitted simultaneously, so they were placed at the same table. Four people could sit at the table, and joining them were two individuals from different countries.
One had very fair skin, with sunspots across their face, likely a local.
The other was very dark-skinned, with strikingly white teeth. They greeted Little Taotie, their smile showcasing their dazzling teeth, "I didn't expect a kid to join. How old are you this year?"
Dressed to appear older, Little Taotie appeared about nine or ten years old and casually responded in local dialect, "Ten years old."
"Not bad, young man. Do you have confidence?" asked the White Person.
Little Taotie puffed his chest with a confident face, "My appetite is quite big!"
The four enjoyed a pleasant conversation for a while until the sound of the starting horn signaled the beginning of the contest.
