I died.
I know, right? What a terrible fucking ending.
It wasn't like I had lived a particularly good life in the first place. My father abandoned me, and from that day on, my mother took out all her anger and frustration on me.
And just when I thought Lady Luck had finally stopped turning her back on me when that woman finally died she hit me with one last fucking hammer.
She left me with a debt of four hundred million dollars.
I know. When I first heard the amount, my immediate thought was, "What the fuck did she spend four hundred million dollars on"?
And, more importantly… When did my life turn into a fucking webnovel?
I had to drop out of school and start working early just to pay the bills. That woman had never bothered buying anything for me anyway, so I was already used to taking care of myself.
And after everything… I still fucking died.
Fuck you, luck. Fuck you, fate. Fuck whoever or whatever decided that my life needed to be this miserable. I was already in enough pain, and then I had to die like this? In a car accident, of all things?
It wasn't fair.
But then… I opened my eyes.
Everything was dark.
Where the hell am I?
I tried moving, but my body felt strangely heavy, constricted, and completely wrong. Before I could figure out what was happening, the muffled quiet shattered as a woman screamed in agony.
Then a man's voice shouted, frantic and echoing:
"SHE'S GOING INTO LABOR!"
…
Did I just break her water?
