"Mother…"
Azarion called out in a low voice as he walked towards Allura with a hesitant look on his face. Allura looked at him and gently placed her hand over his cheek.
"What is it?"
She asked with a gentle smile on her face.
"What's happening?"
The boy asked directly, not holding back one bit.
"What do you mean?"
Allura tilted her head, confused. She then held Azarion's hand, pulled him close to her and made him sit beside her. Azarion did, then Allura gently placed his head on her lap and started patting his head in a short, calming rhythm.
"Don't try to hide it."
Azarion, however, didn't fall for the trick. He kept his eyes open so he wouldn't fall asleep and stared at his mother till he got an answer.
"I have no need to hide anything from you, you little thing."
"Lies do not suit you, Mother."
Azarion spoke directly, his purple eyes still staring at his mother, as if they refused to give up. He needed an answer, and he needed it today.
