During this conversation, Zarveth stopped himself, panting.
The Mirror of Future Victory glowed brighter now, its silver surface showing a path. A sliver of a future—one chance to land a counterblow since the enemy wasn't focusing on him, and Zarveth prepared himself.
That was all he needed.
He rushed again.
He attacked, his body phasing between seconds. He struck with the Key, twisting time so that each slash came from both the present and the past.
The mirror showed success.
But as he swung—
Nux moved.
His body did not follow laws of motion, this wasn't about 'speed', he was in his Universe, he simply appeared where he 'willed' himself to appear and—
And his left hand came down.
Zarveth blocked with the Mirror of Future Victory—or at least he tried to, but—
