As I am standing in the hallway of my high school, Riverbay high, suddenly the door opens with a bang and every student is now facing the entrance door, but I don't give a shit. I was thinking about her.
After yesterday, seeing her cry made my heartbreak. I don't know why though, we just met for goddess's sake, but still.
Max is also upset with me because he always wanted a mate unlike me. He hasn't stopped blabbering about how beautiful his mate is and I agree with him. She looked really fragile and when I said all those words I think I hurt her, but I don't care.
Then I hear the words
" Jessie Brad's here sweethearts and get ready for a year full of entertainment"
Everybody's chattering about how pretty this girl is. The girls are giving her jealous glares and the boys are either grinning or winking. So you all may know that girls are my department, so to check out this chick I turn around. And I am speechless.
She is my mate. What THE HELL IS SHE DOING HERE???
And the way the guys are looking at her makes me furious. But why I DON'T care about her???
So I make my way towards her and our eyes meet. But something is different I don't feel as excited as I did before. Her scent isn't the same either, and she's looking at me like she doesn't know me.
When I reach her I say the words so she doesn't come in my way. And gets lost.
" Are you that desperate you came to my school for me? WOW. Why can't you stay away from me? Why is my life such a hell? If you are going to stay in this school then don't cross paths with me"
As if realization dawns on her. From confused she gives me a smug look as if she's up to something.
Then she gives me the most shocking reply
"Who are you? Do I know you?"
" Don't act smart and oblivious. I am your___"
I don't even want to say it so,
" We met yesterday at the club. Do you have amnesia or something?"
Instead of replying she snorts. SHE SNORTS!!!
And then finally she replys
" At the club you rejected me, so we aren't mates anymore, so if you will excuse me I gotta go. I am actually catching this amazing scent of chocolate, maybe it's my second chance mate. I really hope he isn't a jerk like you"
And then she does the unexpected she stomps on my foot, and hard
" Ow ow ow ow ow"
I grab her arm to stabilize myself but I don't feel any tingles. Which is weird because the first time we touched they were there.
" Who's weak now huh?"
She asks with a raised eyebrow
"Ohhhhh Roasted!!! " Max adds in my head
" Shut up Max!!! Now you are talking to me?"
"... "
And again he is back to giving me the silent treatment. How lovely.
And then I remember what I said at the nightclub.
She flips her hair at me and leaves me there thinking.
Are we really not mates anymore? Because I didn't feel anything. I should feel happy, that finally I am free from this shit but I don't.
It's weird. And who the hell gets a second chance mate so quickly. And why is she sniffing his scent? And why am I getting jealous even my wolf is calm. Why isn't he jealous??
Last night after meeting her I wanted to get my shit together so I found this whore who was throwing herself at me so I thought why not give her a chance to show me her skills. But it didn't even feel good. Aghhhh!!
This is why I never wanted a mate I was enjoying myself and my life before she came into my life. I hate her.
