The hospital was crowded. The huge open hall was filled with people sitting on laid out mattresses, some were bartering foods while some were selling various goods. Although largely different from how it was before the end days, it was livelier compared to the gloom they had been exposed to outside.
It was working like a proper evacuation center, and it isn't difficult to realize that there were people who took charge and moved fast.
Ji Yanyu was impressed, he doesn't remember this hospital being part of the novel. But his assumption was something more unmanaged.
Just a few minutes after they got inside, a group of men arrived with large boxes, systematically giving food to everyone around the area.
"Sister Yue! Sister Meng!" Zhou Xun excitedly shouted upon seeing two familiar figures among the group, his figure immediately running towards his finally found relatives.
"A'Xun?" Zhou Yuen's tired and pale face visibly brightened upon seeing the boy who called her, Lu Anmeng who stood beside her sighed in relief.
After being separated from her brother a few days ago, Lu Anmeng had observed the listlessness of her lover. She was glad Li Shiu and co. arrived faster than she expected.
"You brat, what Sister Meng? It's Sister An!" Lu Anmeng roughly squished the approaching face of the youth, her face cringing in feigned disgust, preventing him to go any closer and give a big warm hug to her partner.
"It's just the same thing! And what's with your strength?" Zhou Xun tried to flail and unwrap the palm on his face but couldn't even make her budge.
His face puffed, turning away to look at his sister pitifully, "Sishter, tish is abushe!"
Zhou Yuen looked at his younger brother with distress, and turned towards the group of people with Zhou Xun, catching sight of a new face, "Oh! Do we have a new teammate?"
Zhou Xun: ..Sister?!
For some reason, Ji Yanyu couldn't easily say no, giving a shiver down his spine. He's getting too attached, and that wouldn't bring him good.
Ji Yanyu quickly shook his head and explained, "I went with the team after knowing they'll go to City Z, I'm temporarily an acting navigator,"
Su Wei ruffled the teen's hair and glanced at the boss who didn't refuse nor deny what Ji Yanyu said, it had been more or less a week and Su Wei could see Li Shiu wasn't entirely resistant to Ji Yanyu in the past few days they've been travelling.
"How are you two, Yuen? Anmeng?"
Ji Yanyu suddenly looked over to the man he assumes is the 4th male lead, his face crumpling into a frown. He doesn't recall those names. Rather, now that he thinks about it more carefully.
The fourth male lead.. have they ever gone here?
Before his doubt could grow, he was suddenly called out by Sister Yan who was urging him to follow them to where they'll be temporarily staying.
The hospital's state became clearer, the rooms for patients either became a prison to restrain zombies or a place to sleep at. They were led to the fifth floor where some rooms were still left unoccupied.
"Only double rooms weren't unoccupied, Xiaomeng and I stayed in this room," Zhou Yuen opened a room near the stairs, "There are three other unoccupied rooms here, they have their own restrooms,"
"Then this guy and I will have one," Yan Shun tapped Wang Bao's stiff chest and smiled slyly, "Unless you want to sleep with someone else?"
"Old hag, that's disgusting," Zhou Xun shivered, earning a large smack that unfortunately failed to land on their head.
Su Wei pulled the playful teen away from Yan Shun's trembling fists and shook his head, this person really never learned his lesson, "This guy, A'Xun and I will share a room,"
Ji Yanyu grew silent, he looked at these people and then at the male lead's casual gaze: ...
[Wow! Host! Are you going to finally sleep with him??]
The system that popped out of nowhere nearly made him lose focus, he was counting the number of points he'd need to redeem a memory erasing potion.
"Shit. I'm poor."
With more than a thousand debt after counting the interests, he felt pained.
"Is water still available?" Li Shiu took his gaze back from the frozen youth and shook off his amusement. What is this boy thinking of?
"Yeah, a large number of people with water abilities entered the base, occasional wash can still be done for now," Lu Anmeng came from the stairs and handed out their room keys, "Dinner will be handed out soon, it's still being prepared,"
"Thanks." Li Shiu hummed and nodded in acknowledgement, "Wash up, eat, and go to my room before 10."
"Yes, Boss!"
The group immediately dispersed, and the next thing Ji Yanyu know he was alone with Li Shiu in an enclosed space. He suddenly felt his ass tighten.
"You want to take a bath first?" Li Shiu was walking around the hospital room they were assigned to, two single beds separated by pure white curtains with their own bedside table. It was simple and clean, it doesn't seem to have been occupied before the apocalypse struck.
"Yes!" Ji Yanyu didn't hesitate to refuse and dashed into the room's narrow restroom containing a bucket full of water and a toilet bowl. The shower head and the toilet flush was no longer working when he checked.
Ji Yanyu sat on the bowl and clasped his hands together.
[Host! Host! I'm prepared! Tell me what you need and I'll give it to you on loan!]
System XXX floated around its host and bounced around, honestly, its boss had been putting pressure on its bank balance, this is its chance to redeem itself!
Ji Yanyu sweated, his forehead dripping with sweat from the unnecessary tension. Now that it had come to this, he should really plan out everything now. How will he s-seduce a male god to bed him?
Should he be pro-active? Damn it. What if he gets kicked out?
Ji Yanyu rubbed his head and took his clothes off, he should take a bath first. No matter what, he can't attack Boss Shi right now, else the others would find out his plan.
