The smell of iron and ash lingered in the forest.Birds avoided the area, and even the insects seemed to have fled. The trees were blackened, their roots soaked in corrupted blood that refused to seep into the ground.
By the time Akira's scouting unit arrived, the air itself felt heavy — thick with remnants of chakra and blood essence fused together unnaturally.
Naoki stood silently beside the corpses. The rogue ninjas lay sprawled across the ground, their bodies pale, their veins bulging black like rotting vines.
Kisho knelt near one of them, pressing his hand against the chest."No heartbeat. Even the organs are shriveled... It's as if something sucked not just their blood, but their life itself."
Naoki nodded, her eyes narrowing. "It's the hybrid's doing. His chakra consumption has reached a new stage. He's feeding not only on blood essence, but on raw vitality — converting both into unstable power."
She looked up at the crimson sky. "If he continues like this, he'll become a walking plague."
When they returned, Akira was already waiting in the council chamber. He listened silently as Naoki reported every detail — the state of the bodies, the residue of the corrupted chakra, the distance to nearby villages.
"So," Akira said softly when she finished, "he's begun devouring life itself."
"Yes, my Lord. It's as if his body no longer distinguishes between chakra and blood essence. Everything living becomes fuel."
Akira rested his chin on his hand, eyes half-closed in thought.'So the final stage of fusion leads to complete assimilation. That means... the body can evolve beyond the concept of chakra limits.'
"Interesting," he murmured. "He's losing his mind, but gaining something far more valuable."
Naoki frowned slightly. "My Lord, his rampage could draw attention if it continues. Even small clans will start noticing patterns if their shinobi vanish in the same region."
Akira smiled faintly."Then we'll turn his failure into a story. Spread rumors — say it's a rogue bloodline gone mad. Something that drains both chakra and soul. Fear will spread faster than truth, and no one will trace it to us."
Kisho bowed. "I'll send word to our outer agents."
Akira nodded once. "Good. And the hybrid?"
"We've lost his exact location, but his trail leads west — toward the border of the Kazan and Yurei clans," Naoki answered.
Akira leaned back."Let him go further. If he survives there, he'll test how clans react to his kind of power. Every action he takes gives us information."
He stood, his long white hair glinting faintly in the torchlight."Prepare a new subject. This time, we'll use what we've learned from his instability. Adjust the ratio — more chakra essence, less blood saturation. It seems too much of our essence devours the mind."
Naoki's eyes glimmered. "You intend to create a stable version."
Akira looked at her, his tone calm but absolute."No. I intend to create my successor — a perfect hybrid who can think, feel, and kill on command. One that won't lose himself to the hunger."
Later that night, Akira walked through the underground corridors alone. The walls pulsed faintly with veins of red light — the lifeblood of the Kyuketsuki compound. He stopped before a massive chamber, where coffins lined the walls like silent sentinels.
Each coffin contained an experiment — failed hybrids, sealed and preserved in a stasis of blood.
He placed a hand on one of them, feeling the faint pulse within.'Every one of you died for the same reason... lack of will. You couldn't control your power.'
He smiled thinly."But that's why I exist. I'll bear the will for all of you."
Elsewhere, in the dense forests between territories, the hybrid stumbled through the shadows. His body had changed again — muscles warped, skin cracking, veins glowing faintly beneath the surface. He looked less human now, more like something between man and monster.
Each step he took left a faint stain of blackened blood on the ground. His eyes twitched violently, voices whispering inside his skull.
"More... I need more..."
He looked toward a distant glow — a village, nestled in the hills.A low, broken laugh escaped his throat."Heh... blood... warm... blood..."
He vanished into the darkness.
Back in the compound, Naoki watched the ritual preparations for the next experiment. The new subject — a captured shinobi with strong chakra flow — was strapped to the altar, unconscious. The modified fusion essence gleamed faintly inside the vial she held.
Akira entered the chamber, his aura colder than usual."Begin."
Naoki poured the essence slowly, every drop glowing as it touched the shinobi's lips. The reaction began immediately — veins lighting up, chakra flaring violently — but unlike before, the body didn't convulse. It trembled... then stabilized.
Naoki's eyes widened. "It's working..."
Akira's gaze sharpened. "Keep monitoring."
The shinobi's breathing slowed, his chakra output harmonizing with the red energy flowing through his veins. His pulse steadied.Minutes passed, and the reaction ended without explosion or collapse.
Naoki turned to Akira. "My Lord... he's alive. Fully alive. The balance is perfect."
Akira smiled — a calm, dangerous smile."Good. Then we've found the ratio. Begin the second phase. Condition him... and then we'll see if his loyalty can be imprinted."
He turned away, his voice dropping to a whisper only Naoki could hear."Let the world sleep a little longer. When they finally wake up... they'll realize monsters no longer hide in the dark — they rule it."

If you want me to section the text a bit, write a comment somewhere. I think its still readable like that, but If you would like it better with ... or ____ when the scene changes or something like that, message me. I mostly do it because I really liked the concept of the story and wanted to see how it would play out in the narutoverse, but I cant find the time to write and a bit of laziness is also the reason xD
