Chapter 1 - Alone in a world of gods

It was a normal day like any other. Tsukuyomi woke up in his room, cursing the god who let him live. It was dark as always and really cold. Not long after he woke up, the door opened and a girl in a maid outfit entered the room. She was short, with a nice body, had brown hair, and glowing blue eyes. "Wake up already! It is almost noon, Tsuku!" she exclaimed while snickering and opening the curtains. As the light finally reached this room after a few good days of Tsukuyomi sleeping there, the mess could be seen. "You know, I told you to stop calling me that. Give me a nickname like Jack or something... And thank you."

The maid conjured a globe of water above her hand and started teasing Tsukuyomi "Get up or I will pour all of this cold water on you!" Tsukuyomi called her bluff and got what he deserved. He got up after being hit by all the water and proceeded towards the bathroom attached to the room. After a quick shower, he dressed up in his usual attire: black jeans, a white t-shirt, and a black coat. The coat had grey outlines and 'battle scars'; its back split in two at the middle, the left part was longer, almost reaching the ground, while the right part stopped just a little below the knee. At the waist, two black and red ropes were hanging from the back of the coat, and on the back, there was a sigil representing two desert eagles with their barrels meeting at a 45-degree angle. He tied his long, unkempt hair in a tail behind his back and then went to a nearby cabinet next to the exit of the room.

"Breakfe-I meant the lunch is ready Master Tsukuyomi." said the maid while bowing slightly. Tsukuyomi pushed her to the side and asked "Who came to visit?" although he didn't need an answer. He knew it was that traditionalist of a woman, who he was forced to call mother. From a room at the end of the hallway, she could be heard scolding his brothers, Fujin and Raijin. Tsukuyomi walked down the corridor and knocked on the door before leaving for the dining room downstairs. He sat down and waited.

First to arrive was the maid, who was visibly stressed. She was shortly followed by Tsukuyomi's mother and siblings. They sat down and the maid took her place behind Tsukuyomi with her best poker face. "Son, I have heard you are making weaponry in that workshop of yours. Those two told me you are planning on recreating one of those disgusting firearms from 5 centuries ago. What was it called again?" Said the woman with a look of disgust on her face. Tsukuyomi didn't hesitate and stood up. He pulled out a desert eagle and a magazine full of rounds, loaded the gun, and shot towards the window to his left. The sound was deafening and the flash was quite strong as well. The bullet shattered the window and the head of the poor man disguised behind it. "Don't bring assassins here. It is a bad move. as for your question... I think I answered. Now, will you leave me alone, mother?" The woman stood up as well and conjured a flaming circle in the palm of her left hand and tried chanting. Tsukuyomi dashed at her and dislocated her shoulder. It didn't matter which one, she was not gonna be able to cast anyway.

The woman shouted in pain and the two twins, Raiden and Fujin, took on mantles of their respective elements. Preparing to fight, the two were enraged. They remembered every time Tsukuyomi beat them whenever they wanted to make fun of him. He was born without magic and yet he was still very strong against experts of the royal family. The twins remembered how, although he was the son of a mere concubine, he was chosen by his father to do all of the rites to the gods, and how every one of his prayers was answered, despite being outright blasphemous. They concentrated their power, tensed up his muscle, and...

"Behind you!" Shouted Tsukuyomi while kicking Raijin away, and grabbing Fujin with one arm, pointing a blade at his neck with the other. "Raijin! You useless spark! Do something!" Shouted Tsukuyomi at Raijin while slowly moving in for the kill. Raijin couldn't do anything and collapsed from the stress when he saw Fujin's blood. Tsukuyomi put the knife back on the table and covered the small cut on Fujin's neck with his palm until the maid came to heal him. "What did I tell you? Woman, you are outright weak and untalented! Your sons are cowards! You are supposed to be part of the Heavenly Household! I am MAGICLESS and still, I can beat 4 mages at once! We are supposed to be emperors second only to gods and you are like this! Get out of my manor! Good thing I got a maid blessed by Eil or else you would be in a hospital now."

The maid finished healing the three who were left alive, and the three scrambled away. "So, Alice, it has been 3 weeks since I asked you, what is the answer?" Said Khas looking at Alice. She was a hardworking maid and a kind person. Without her, he would be dead, so when Tsukuyomi found out that she is underpaid he started planning this day, second for second. She hesitated for a second and then looked away embarrassed instead of talking. Tsukuyomi understood the message and took out a dagger with a copper crossguard. "Oh god of justice, come hear my wish. This world is unjust and wrong and only you see all of the wrongdoings!" whispered Tsukuyomi before speaking out loud "Come on you slacker and at least help this unfortunate maid who was tasked to take care of such a riddance, like me! Is it that fucking hard to work once in a while in my favor as well?" Soon a paladin in copper armor appeared in the room. From his back, two angelic wings could be seen, and the sword he carried at his waist was emanating mana. He pulled it out, raised it and the voice of a man could be heard from it "At least you understand the basic facts! I will do her justice and she will be able to eat, live and dress well from now on!" Then the sword's strength weakened a bit before a whisper could be heard "Is it okay now? Can I go back to slee-I mean work?" Tsukuyomi nodded in agreement and the paladin disappeared.

Tsukuyomi then headed upstairs. The stairway was big, with a simple carpet on the marble stairs, and a few family portraits were hanging on the walls. In every one of the portraits, he was painted to the side, either to the left or to the right, never directly next to his own family. He continued climbing up the stairs. Once on the second floor, he walked down the hallway. He admired the architecture, white marble, carved masterfully... too bad it was infested by such curses. A dark metal caused cracks in the marble, which it then filled. He walked slowly, as he pulled out a modified handgun. It was a desert eagle. He crafted it himself after millions of attempts at modifying its original design from a thousand years ago. "The year is three thousand twenty-two. I currently am inside my manor, on the second floor. On my person I have one hundred knives, twin modified handguns, both are loaded using custom-ordered artifacts to enhance their capabilities. Both are capable of firing five hundred rounds before reloading is required. I have ten mags for each. Under my clothing, I have concealed armor capable of resisting three level-five spells or twenty .500 caliber bullets fired from one hundred meters. I also have an artifact capable of recording four hundred fifty-seven hours of sounds as strong as five hundred decibels. It has a safety mechanism that prevents it from being weaponized. My name is Tsukuyomi of the Heavenly Order family. My father is the thirty-second Heavenly Father. I am 187 cm tall, 16 years old. My whole life was spent trying to get stronger. All in order to compensate for my lack of magical aptitude. Over the course of the last month, I got in contact with a group of fanatics that thought they could cure me. One little girl gave me the original copy of their holy text, claiming that I am the only one worthy of it. Now, outside my manor, there are over two hundred soldiers waiting for me to make my move. This will be my last recording in a while, so forgive me."

As he finished his monologue, Tsukuyomi walked out of the balcony at the end of the hallway. He jumped on the railing, looked up at the sky, and shouted "Soldiers! Have mercy on those within this manor. The servants did nothing wrong. Do this and I will surrender myself." He then looked at the heavily armed men to his left. All but one freed the hostages. The last one looked at Tsukuyomi and killed the servant. The moment that happened Tsukuyomi took a deep breath. He looked up, it was noon... it was... it is Midnight. He exhaled a thick black smoke and jumped off. The soldiers were baffled. "I thought he couldn't use magic!" shouted the one who just killed an innocent girl. In front of him stood Tsukuyomi. "The law of this world, given by the gods... needs no magic. This manor and its surroundings were my mother's Domain. She died before passing it on. But I am like a virus. Now I am in control of everything. Everything but life, while in here. Time, light, objects. I am the Master, you are the subjects."
