The human soul was Max who had just regained consciousness. However, because he didn't have a physical body and his soul wasn't strong enough to allow Soul Vision, he couldn't see anything around him, and thus remained blissfully unaware of the danger he was in.
In the distance, the Red-Scaled Rhino Race's members had also noticed Max's soul like many other groups.
The only difference was, while other groups felt tempted to capture Max, the Red-Scaled Rhinos were wishing they weren't here because their ancestral precepts mandated they help Humans if they were in trouble.
But could they help this weak soul now?
The answer was a big fat NO because they were among the weakest groups present and except for them, everyone else wanted to kill or capture Max's soul.
Moreover, many from their group didn't want to help him either. Their race's dire situation was the result of their ancestors trying to help humans after all.
