Max just smiled at her in lieu of telling her.
Kayla understood he was unwilling to say, so she dropped the topic and asked, "How's Rima? I heard she was quite seriously injured."
"Yes, she was. She is recovering well now." answered Max.
"That's good news." Both Kayla and Nia sighed in relief.
"You should go meet her sometime. She would feel good." Max said to Kayla.
Nia's face fell a little seeing him ignore her, but it was only for a moment before she put on a normal expression. She was aware of her status and thus knew she couldn't afford to be upset with people like him.
"I would love to, but unlike you, I can't enter the Core Hall wherever I want. I would need special permission for that." Kayla said.
Max knew of this and instinctively wanted to contact Elder Milo to get her permission but then he remembered what he must have already left on the mission he told him about.
