I've been through a lot in life but up to this point, I can confidently say that what happens from here takes the top.
You know I've always been the "good girl" in life.
You know what I mean, good grades, clubs in high school, teacher's pet, and all that crap. But now I'm in college and that's gonna change... hopefully.
This story starts in my dorm room on a Friday. Just chillin with my roomy trying to plan the evening.
"Girl I heard there was a party tonight at the beta house, you going?" Lori asked me at her computer.
Lori Gandel is my dormmate and best friend since my freshman year of high school, if I had to describe her then id say, she is prettier than me by a longshot.
She is your standard goth girl, purple hair with a nose piercing and with big biddies and a major nerd plus she is a gamer that is taking coding and hacking major this year. She could probably get any boy she wanted but she is bisexual and single by choice for now. She also part of the debate club somehow?
I respond to her "I don't know most of the guys there are probably gonna be drunk and I don't-
I think Ima just stay in the dorm tonight,".
She turns from the computer and looks at me,
"I know you haven't had any good experiences with parties, but you need to put yourself out there more,".
I start looking at my phone and say " I know but I wanna find someone who is looking for more than just a night with me that's all,". I notice it's already 7:00, the party starts soon.
"I'm just gonna stay tonight, I need to study for finals anyway," I say looking up from my phone. That might be an excuse but it is true.
"Alright girl if that's what you want," she says getting up towards the bathroom. She enters the bathroom, probably to get prepared for the party.
She pops her head out the doorway and says "oh,
and don't forget to grab the pads and other things from the store tonight,".
" Ya ya I know I'll do that just get going," I say getting comfortable in my bed.
"Remember the keys are hanging next to the door," she says from in the bathroom.
Whatever, But I then see something out the corner of my eye. A silhouette by a tree. It's just standing there and I can't see them very well.
But they can probably see me well.
I sit up to get a closer look at them but they walk behind the trees and disappear. Who was that and were they looking at me or am I being paranoid? (At the time I thought it was nothin but God was I wrong).
Lori walks out of the bathroom makeup and everything on her face. She looks at me confused.
"What are you doing, Is there something out there"? she asks me as she grabs her purse.
I start to sit back down and I say, "Nah it's nothing, thought I saw something,".
I don't know what that was but it might be nothin and I don't wanna panic her. I know it might seem dumb to ignore but I've made a policy to give less fucks to things, or at least pretend to.
"Have fun at the party or whatever," I say looking at her up and down.
"Stay safe and see ya later," She says leaving and closing the door behind her.
I look back out the window scanning carefully, nothing. Whatever, I close the blinds and get ready to leave for the store.
