One hour and twenty minutes later…
"I've been walking this path since the beginning, and still no village. I checked the view from afar and thought I saw a house, but it turned out to be just an abandoned tree house in the forest. Now I'm curious about what's inside. Maybe there's something useful. I once played a game where the plot started with an old abandoned hut or a ridiculously tall tree house. I mean, who even built that? Did they fly like Superman? It even had a ladder, so I climbed up, only to find a bunch of strange posters. Like, what the hell are posters doing in an ancient era? The art style was so modern—obviously human. The title... well, let's not talk about it. XD Anyway, time to check this place out."
Aoyama scouted the area, searched for a way up, and felt around the tree for hidden buttons. Suddenly, he found something strange.
It was just a rock with an ear.
[Music intensifies]
Shocked, he grabbed it, examined it, then tossed it aside like it was nothing.
"Hey you! Dafq did you just throw me for, punk?!" shouted an unknown rock with an ear.

"Wha–what–what?! Holy cow, are you real?" Aoyama grabbed the rock again and shook it.
"Ye–yes, I'm real! Put me down! I'm dizzy!"
Aoyama kept shaking."Stop! I think I'm gonna puke!"
(Is this really happening? Am I hallucinating? I've read about golems with consciousness, but never a tiny rock that pukes from dizziness. Could it actually be real? Time to test this.)
He picked up another rock.

"Yamerooo! It hurts! Why are you so mean?!" cried the rock with an ear.
"To check if you're real," Aoyama said flatly.

"No. Give me more proof or I'll cut those ears off for experimentation," Aoyama teased.
"No no no, please don't cut my ears! I'll transform right away!" the rock begged.
A warm glow surrounded it. After three minutes, a new form appeared.
"Wow! Wha–what?!" Aoyama closed his eyes. (Be a man, Aoyama. Don't let this faze you. You've seen amazing things already. Just breathe. In and out. Okay, ready.)
He opened his eyes. Sparkling light bathed the world in brilliance.
"Fuuuuu!" Aoyama blurted, flustered.
"Why are you so flustered? This transformation isn't anything special," the figure said.
"No, it's nothing… I just thought you'd transform into a human, not a golem-humanoid. Honestly, I didn't expect that."
"My name has been many, but you can call me Jade. This jade-like pattern on my body conducts origin qi from the roots of the world. Exquisite, right?"
"Yes, very exquisite. The slope-like lines look delicate, almost like flowing water. It feels serene, calming, like being drawn into a current…"
A sudden sound burst.

"I just looked into the carved slope of your patterns, entered a trance, and… broke through."

"Can I see the tree house?"
"Of course. I believe you're trustworthy."
They climbed up together.
