The next day.
Elliana Lyle woke up in the bathtub. She had laid out all the blankets in there. It wasn't very comfortable to sleep, but it was better than outside.
She didn't want to be watched, not at all.
After freshening up, she walked out of the bathroom. As soon as she stepped out, Steve Brooke's voice echoed.
"Good morning, Miss Lyle."
She was already used to this. That man had chattered away with her for a long time last night. Although she didn't respond, the old man tirelessly kept talking.
Ignoring his greeting, she headed straight for the balcony. In the daylight, it was indeed clearer than under the night lights.
This place was truly vast, so vast that it stretched on endlessly before her.
Escaping from such a place would be incredibly difficult.
"Miss Lyle, do you want to take a walk outside? I'm doing business outside, and I'm giving you special permission to walk below. You're special here, different from the others."
