The next morning, Xun Xian and Yuchi took a carriage heading towards the location of the merchant guild.
On the carriage, Xun Xian looked at Yuchi with much puzzlement.
Yuchi had two dark circles under his eyes, resembling a night owl.
Yet his face frequently broke into a bright and clear smile, showing a mouthful of big white teeth.
"Yuchi, what did you do last night? You look completely drained?"
Xun Xian asked curiously.
Drained? Was it that obvious? Yuchi was slightly surprised.
Then he pretended to be nonchalant and calmly said, "Nothing much, just feeling a bit tired these days."
"Last night, I was thinking about a lot of things and didn't get much rest."
"Is that so?" Xun Xian rolled her eyes at Yuchi.
If she hadn't known Yuchi for so long, she might have believed him.
Her eyes lit up as she leisurely pulled a long strand of hair from Yuchi's shoulder.
The strand fell calmly between the two of them.
