"To win?" I inquire,
"You are the dumbass who never realized his power!"
answers the angel,
"What power?" I question
"Exactly, you've had a God-given power your whole life, you were chosen, and you failed."
the angel's monotone voice morphed into one filled with anger.
"I've been given the task to oversee your life, I thought it was going to be interesting, you know, watch this omnipotent guy wreck or save his world, but no, I got the idiot who didn't use his powers and put himself in debt."
"You're saying I could have gotten rid of my debt?" I ask,
"Is that the only thing you can think of, I just said you are O M N I P O T E N T, do you
know what that means. You could destroy the universe with a sentence."
the angel belts,
"I know this may be a lot to take in, but we have all of the time in the world, it has only been a
second in real-time."
"What do you mean I could destroy the universe with a sentence?" I ask,
"Exactly what I said, you. could destroy. THE UNIVERSE. WITH A SENTENCE, you
have the power of a god. But you didn't use it and made your life miserable. Maybe if you thought better of yourself you could have done something beneficial. Your gambling addiction caused your internal view to be smudged, your subconscious didn't believe you would win, so your power activated and ensured your defeat." Gabriel responds,
A sofa materializes under me and a chair across from me, Gabrielle transforms and sits in the chair.
"You're a woman?!" I probe, surprised
"Yes, and no, God liked the balls that Eve had when she ate that fruit, so he said we
should take a female form when we pick our true form," Gabrielle answers.
"That wasn't your true form?" I inquired,
"Yeah, I wanted to get you back for those long boring 32 years I spent watching you
decay, so I wanted to scare the shit out of you," says Gabrielle
