Crack—
He Ao grasped the rock above his head and flipped onto the top of the cliff.
Beside him, Kela also stepped on an ice pillar extending out of the void and jumped up.
"We've crossed the northern mountains?" she asked softly, looking at the vast blizzard and flat snow plain before them.
"I suppose so?"
He Ao nodded lightly.
He turned back to look behind him.
The continuous mountains stood behind him.
The map had a cliff symbol at the location of the North Ice Field, and it wasn't until he arrived at the ice field that He Ao realized it meant the ice field was above the cliff.
This ice field was at least five or six hundred meters higher than the ground level.
Of course, such terrain was of little consequence to He Ao and Kela, and they could easily cross it.
However, he didn't fly over here; as the flying essence of an Angel involves twisting space-time to lift oneself, it can be used for short bursts, but long distances consume a lot of energy and spirit.
