The wedding date is getting closer, yet Grandma remains in a coma. Nancy Sutton feels a wave of sorrow.
She and Liam Quincy have come once again to Grandma's side. Unable to resist, Nancy holds Grandma's hand and speaks, "Grandma, when will you wake up? We have just one week left until our engagement party. Won't you be able to join us?"
Her voice is filled with regret. She truly hopes Grandma can attend their engagement party, as it's what Grandma wishes to witness the most.
Liam Quincy feels particularly upset as well. Nearly a month has passed, and still, Grandma hasn't woken up.
"Yes, Grandma, you've always wanted us to get engaged, and now it's happening, but you can't be there to join us. Do you know how much of a loss this is for us?"
As he spoke, Liam started to cry. A grown man shedding tears right there, and Nancy standing beside him was unable to control her emotions too, and both began sobbing together.
