After Yasenia entered the treasury with Angel in her arms and the others following her, she didn't show much happiness. This surprised Andrea and Angel. Andrea asked, confused. "Are you not happy to get treasures, love?"
"I am, but…" Yasenia looked around, her golden slit eyes showing a disappointed look. "There is nothing good around."
The demonic sect's treasury was organized, and the weapons and armors were perched on the walls. Still, over 99% of them were Transcendence Rank and below weapons. So, was Yasenia happy? She was happy. Was Yasenia elated?
Looking around and not seeing mountainous piles of coins made her pout endlessly. 'I wanted to dive into a coin pile.'
Angel saw Yasenia's pout, and after pondering, she waved her hand stealthily. Yasenia glanced to the side and saw a massive pile of spirit crystal thump onto the ground. Her eyes lit up. "Where did this come from? Did you unlock some kind of secret treasury?"
Some maids caught Angel's silent gesture, but they were silent. Angel even jumped down from Yasenia's arms and smiled. "There was a hidden formation hiding this. I just broke it open."
Yasenia skipped over, her tail wagging as she leaned down to take the Spiritual Crystals. "Hehehe… I wonder if there is something inside?"
So, Yasenia dove inside, leaving only her tail and legs outside as she dove into the treasure pile. Angel's lips curved up, but when she saw the skirt flipping up and tangling with her tail, her face turned red. 'What kind of underwear is that? It barely hides anything…'
Andrea shook her head and looked around while walking with Angel. "So, is there any other of those formations?"
Angel now looked seriously, and then shook her head. "Nothing much. This Demonic Sect is quite poor."
Andrea sighed. "Well, that's normal. Demonic sects usually rely on arson and theft to fill up their coffers, and disciples are not really… selfless enough to give their gains to the sect."
Looking up at Andrea, Angel smiled and spoke. "How is the child doing?"
Andrea looked at the egg in her arms with a touch of softness. "The boy is doing well. We just need to wait for him to crack out of his shell. According to Yasenia, she laid the egg around 15 years ago, so there is still time until it hatches."
"I see…"
Andrea looked down at Angel's smile, still somewhat unaccustomed to Angel's calmness. In her memory, this girl always skipped around with a trot in her step, but now she walked with a touch of dignity and calm. "Say, Angel."
"Hm?"
"Do you blame Yasenia in your heart?"
Angel paused, her steps slowing for a brief moment as she seriously pondered that question. Finally, after thinking, she shook her head, her long hair gently waving with her motion. "I don't. I do not know what Yasenia went through. However, I refuse to believe you have not noticed the change in aura within her."
Hearing those words, Andrea nodded. "You mean that touch of death energy lingering around her? As if she had been…"
"Yes. That." Angel stopped her from finishing the sentence, as the implications were a bit too heavy. "I won't lie and say I never slightly resented Yasenia for taking so long to come back to us. I've gone through quite a few emotional ups and downs during the last few decades. Still, all my imagined scenarios for when we reunited never came true."
Andrea was curious. "What did you expect?"
"I expected myself to angrily scold her. I expected myself not to allow her to hug me for a while. I even thought I might feel slightly distant when reuniting. Similar to Yasenia back when she returned from that War Trial…"
Andrea recalled that time, and she understood where Angel was coming from. However, Angel chuckled and picked up a sword at the side, flipping it around and throwing it away with a lack of interest. "When I saw her, the only feeling left within me was deep relief and a deep sense of returning home. So, I vented all my emotions when crying in her arms."
"How are you feeling now?"
"Better than ever." Angel smiled, happy from the bottom of her heart. "Being in Yasenia's arms, receiving her pampering once again, slowly returning to those past routines… it feels as if everything is just falling back into place."
It was something Andrea also felt. Andrea had been much steadier than Angel during this separation, but she had also imagined countless times how the reunion would go. Still, all her predictions were shattered when she saw her lover once again.
Yasenia was truly like the sun in their lives, and seeing her again felt like standing in the sunrise after a long time in darkness. There was no resentment toward the Sun. Only a sense of deep satisfaction from seeing the light pour out again.
"So." Andrea's tone suddenly became a bit teasing. "Why have you not taken that last step with Yasenia?"
Angel blushed slightly, her blue eyes shifty. "Yasenia… has become too beautiful. I am a bit unaccustomed."
"You'll be unaccustomed. That's for sure." Recalling her own experience, Andrea shook her head. "I will give you one piece of advice. Just enjoy the ride."
"Huh?" Angel was a bit confused as to what she meant.
"Babyyy, Darlinggg, looook!"
Turning around, they saw Yasenia lightly jogging toward them. Their eyes couldn't help but lower to the two dancing, mature fruits. 'Heavy…'
Yasenia stopped before them and presented two treasures. "Look at this. A Five Star Supreme Ranked formation pen, and a Four Star Supreme Ranked anvil! I found them hidden away in the most valuable section."
Andrea was surprised. Her own anvil was of the same rank, so this one could work in case the other broke. Angel was happy about the present, even if her own formation pen was a tad bit better.
Angel asked, curious. "How did you find that place?"
Yasenia approached, picked Angel up, and supported her with both arms. "I sniffed it. Tsk. Tsk. They made sure to hide all auras. Sadly for them, there was a small air leak where I could smell it."
Both girls laughed. "A dragon's nose is truly sharp."
Yasenia raised her eyebrows proudly. "Anyway, since we are done here. I'll just tear everything into my spatial treasure. Garest, dear, swallow this place."
They all left, and once they did, Angel and Andrea waited for Garest, whom they didn't know, to make an appearance.
They saw the ring in Yasenia's hand magnify, and then, it became a massive blue and green world that enveloped the treasury. Ten seconds later, Garest disappeared, leaving behind a massive void where the treasury previously stood.
Mirrory, standing at the side, asked with surprise. "Your Storage Treasure has become an Ancient Ranked Treasure? That's impressive."
Yasenia nodded. "Yup. It even has five Natural Treasures supporting it so that it can store all kinds of plants and grow them quickly…" She paused and slapped her forehead. "I almost forgot. You two, do you need Natural Treasures of any attribute? I have a few in my Storage if you need."
Andrea shook her head. "I already have my two elements covered. One Metal and one Sun attribute Natural Treasure."
Angel smiled in Yasenia's arms. "I am the same. I have a Light, Glass, and Blood Natural Treasure."
"Blood?" Yasenia tilted her head and looked at Angel, puzzled.
Angel blinked and realized she had yet to explain this to Yasenia. She chuckled and smiled. "Do you remember how you intervened during my contract with Mirrory? Your Blood Essence back then affected the pure Saint Inheritance, creating a blood branch. After activating Mirrory's body and also starting my inheritance properly, I gained affinity for the Blood Element. I do not use it often, though."
Andrea whistled. "You were already quite monstrous when creating formations with your glass and light attributes. Now, I am guessing you can even mix blood in them to create more deadly ones, right?"
"Yes." Angel nodded without bragging. "If I am on a battlefield, the more I kill, the stronger I get. That's why I changed my usual tactics a bit. I have a few strong killing methods, then using the first death, I can quickly manipulate my formations to take over the battlefield."
Yasenia's eyes were shining. "Baby is so strong!"
Angel smiled widely, hugging Yasenia and kissing her cheek. Mirrory commented in passing. "She might be stronger than you now, little dragon."
Yasenia, however, raised her chin proudly. "Of course! My darlings are all super strong!"
Mirrory, who wanted to tease her, almost forgot that this dragon's faith in her lovers was practically blind. Moreover, Yasenia had always shown that she was 100 times prouder when her loves accomplished something than when she herself did something absurd.
She shook her head, half amused and half helpless. 'Yasenia has not changed much, has she?'
Angel also realized that when she saw that familiar reaction. Yasenia's beauty had become so shocking now that in the corner of her mind, Angel had thought that her dragoness might have changed slightly. 'It seems… I was thinking too much.'
A smile appeared at the corner of her lips, her blue eyes softening as she hugged Yasenia tightly and happily. "I love you… so much."
Yasenia paused and hugged her Baby back, a smile on her lips. "I love you too, Baby. Now, let's continue to steal… ahem. To take revenge for you!"
Andrea gently slapped Yasenia's bottom. "Just say your honest feelings, you silly dragon. You are not deceiving anyone here."
Yasenia pouted. "While it is true that I want the treasures, I want to avenge Angel more."
Feeling playful, Andrea raised her eyebrow. "Oh? Prove it."
A bad choice of words. Yasenia's eyes, now challenged, became firm. Their group left the ransacked Demonic Sect behind, making all those people there finally breathe out a sigh of relief.
They took not too long to arrive at the next location, and Andrea looked at Yasenia curiously. 'How will she prove it?'
Of course, she knew her words were the truth, but she was curious.
Meanwhile, Yasenia asked Angel. "So, of this sect, how many people bothered you?"
Looking at this familiar sect, Angel snorted. "Basically, everyone. I fought with them inside an ancient tomb for treasures. I was a bit careless, and they discovered my tracks. In the end, since I didn't want too much trouble, I had to split the earnings with them."
Yasenia nodded, and then she placed Angel to the side. Everyone was curious when they saw Yasenia soar to the sky.
Those in the sect suddenly saw a blue radiance covering the sky, and everyone looked up. Once they did, their gaze froze. In the sky, a gargantuan empyrean dragon stretched from horizon to horizon, her wings spanning the heavens as the Moon and Sun shone brightly.
Then, the massive dragon looked down at them and opened her maw. "[Celestial Dragon Breath]."
The back of the dragon's throat lit up, and the Heavens in the sky rumbled, feeling a terrifying sense of dread. Thankfully for them, Yasenia had focused her breath's strength to boom into the sect.
A blue laser connected the sect with Yasenia's mouth, and in the next instant, blue light swallowed the sect as Yasenia exhaled.
ROAR!!!!
Angel and Andrea closed their eyes for a second, looking back right after. What met their gaze was a whole bunch of… nothingness.
A pitch-black hole had suddenly substituted for where the previous sect stood proudly. The chasm was so deep that, even with their senses, it took a while to find the bottom.
Heaven, angered, rained a few lightning bolts on Yasenia for such large-scale destruction. However, Yasenia just bore the punishment and then returned.
When she returned, Yasenia smiled proudly. "See? I made everything disappear, including the treasures!"
Andrea and Angel, including Mirrory, looked between the "hole" and Yasenia with complex expressions. 'Heavens… if she had not focused her strength, wouldn't this world have been blown up with just one breath attack?'
Moreover, as they saw Yasenia's tail calmly deal with the angry lightning by slapping it away, their complex mood became even more subtle. 'This scene… it feels like an adult holding a child's head while the child tries to swing their arms at them.'
