After opening her eyes, Yasenia exhaled a mouthful of foul energy. It was the remnants of the energy she purified and developed during this one hour. Since she advanced quickly, there was bound to be impurities, but thanks to her innate comprehension talent, constitution, and powerful bloodline, those impurities were cleansed without any effort.
"Congratulations. You are the first person to learn the full inheritance of the [Immortal Big Dipper Battle Formation]."
Yasenia looked at him with a cold face. Her gaze was clearly unfriendly, and her body was giving the "I don't like you" vibes. "Anything else?"
The middle-aged man's lips twitched. "Ahem… I am, even if just in name, your master… Aren't you being a bit rude?"
Yasenia answered flatly. "The one who messed with other people's children is speaking about rudeness?" She sneered. "Color me surprised."
The man felt awkward. He had no way to retort, after all. It was his fault for not telling Yasenia first.
"Now, I don't care what I learned or what you taught me. Tell me in detail about what you did to my baby." Yasenia's red-colored eyes oozed with bloody, murderous intent. "My previous threats were not empty words."
"Previous…" The man recalled what Yasenia said, "If you dare touch my child again without telling me first, I'll destroy this world."
Usually, such grand words would be something he would scoff at. But the talent he has seen in this dragon woman made him somewhat afraid. 'If she keeps growing at her current… She might really get enough strength to follow through with her words.'
"Alright. Don't get too agitated." The man spoke calmly. "I understand why you are angry, but I really didn't do anything bad to your child."
"I know," Yasenia spoke, her face still frozen. "If you had done something harmful, I wouldn't be speaking with you. I just want to know what you did and how it will affect my baby."
The man nodded. "Alright. What I gave your child are two things. First, pure energy. It is energy that's gentle and easy to absorb, like chewed food for a baby bird. With this energy, its initial realm will be higher, and advancing further will come as naturally as breathing. In short, whatever its talent was, I pushed it further."
Yasenia nodded once.
The man noticed that the coldness around Yasenia had decreased slightly. This made him somewhat relieved. "The second benefit is less concrete. With that pure energy, I refined the soul of the baby and made it stronger. In short, I developed whatever its natural affinities were."
Yasenia's cold face gained a faint frown. "Isn't that dangerous? If the baby has contradictory affinities and the constitution is not strong enough to balance it, your boost will only exacerbate the problem, will it not?"
The man paused for a second, and Yasenia didn't miss his hesitation. The aura that had calmed down started surging again, and the man felt as if he was about to start sweating, even when that was impossible. 'How can a junior release such a profound, intimidating aura? Scary, scary.'
"Although what you said is not incorrect, you are looking at the worst-case scenario…"
"I am a Sun, Moon, and Star attributed cultivator. The other parent is a Metal and Sun-attributed cultivator. Do you think that my worries are exaggerated, senior?"
Seeing Yasenia's cold smile, the senior didn't know what to do. After all, knowing the parents' attributes, things changed significantly. The very implausible scenario became slightly less improbable, becoming a very real threat.
Of course, Yasenia was not worried. Her constitution, [Celestial Yin and Yang Body], was the most powerful balancing constitution Yasenia knew of. Therefore, she believed that whatever energy entered her and nourished her child would be balanced by it.
While it had not been a prominent quality of her journey, without it, Yasenia knew that she wouldn't have been able to reach her current heights, dying somewhere along the way.
Still, this person was unaware of her constitution. He meddled with her child without knowing the situation and put it in danger.
'He knows that he is in danger.'
Yasenia could see that although the senior was outwardly calm, there was a trace of flusteredness in his soul aura. 'Still… It's not like I can retaliate in any way. Moreover, my child and I have benefited in the end.'
If it were a real person and not a soul remnant, her reaction might've been more exaggerated. However, this time around, taking out her anger on this thing would be like punching cotton. Sighing, Yasenia spoke directly to him. "Senior. Let's leave the staring contest here. There are still two trials I need to take, right?"
"Hm… Not exactly." The man spoke, relief clear in his voice. "Now that you've gained everything that there was to earn, you don't need to continue with the trials. The next trial is a battle among all the participants. During this battle, the soldiers will not be resurrected, so it will be a battle of endurance. Furthermore, there is a chance of death."
His tone was nonchalant, and Yasenia was not surprised. After all, the stronger the treasure, the higher the risk. Dying for riches was something cultivators were willing to do, and entering here signified that they had decided that risking their lives for the treasure was worth it.
"The next trial will happen with the remaining army and participants. You will fight against an exact copy of yourselves and your remaining army. As an advantage, the enemy army will have one less layer of whatever level of Battle Formation you've learned. Still, their proficiency in it will be almost perfect."
"I see. Strength against proficiency. I can guess that the trick to win during this final trial is to gain proficiency as the battle goes on."
"Yes." The senior nodded and looked at Yasenia. "So, what do you want to do?"
Yasenia looked down for a moment and spoke. "I want to participate in the next trial, but not the last. There are people there whom I want to kill."
The senior could easily guess who. "Those two demons, right?"
"Yes," Yasenia commented. "I don't purposely search for them, but if I cross paths with one, I don't mind putting in a bit of effort to exterminate them."
As she spoke, she couldn't help but ask. "Speaking of which… I have not seen Divines during my stay. Are they not in the Blue Pearl World?"
The senior spoke after a moment of thought. "From the very few memories I have from my main self, there should be Divines in the Blue Pearl Continent. Perhaps you have not chanced upon them yet. The world is big, after all. And, compared to humans, other races are pitifully low."
Yasenia hummed. "I understand. Thank you, senior."
"Don't worry." The man smiled. "Go on. But be careful; you might be the one killed if you lower your guard."
"I understand." Yasenia wouldn't underestimate them. Tatyana had literally beaten into her bones to never underestimate her enemies, and she didn't plan to start doing it now.
Her body reappeared on the battlefield in the middle of her army. The eyes of everyone landed on her. Looking around, Yasenia's face remained aloof.
'Since I won't be participating in the last trial. I can use my soldiers much more recklessly than the rest.'
"The Trial of the Battle begins! Fight and survive."
There were no more explanations. The woman pointed at Yasenia and ordered confidently. "All of you, attack her!"
Her words were clearly directed towards the men she had charged. However, of the four people she had charged, only two moved. The woman's eyebrows tangled, and she looked over at the other two. She knew that one of them had her charm broken, but what about the other?
"You, why are you not moving?"
The man's face was cold as ice, his sturdy body radiating bloodthirst. "You've been playing with me and my junior sister for long enough, Demon. Die!"
"Attack."
The two men Yasenia liberated moved with their armies to fight the female demon. The woman was flustered for a second before she easily understood what had happened. "Yasenia Dravory! You dare steal another one of my breeders!?"
Yasenia ignored the approaching armies and looked over with a laugh. "What's wrong? Did you swallow more than what you could handle, Snake demon?"
"I will kill you!" The woman wanted to rush over, but she knew that it was not possible. Of the two men that Yasenia liberated, one of them had a large temple army and the other a medium temple army. Together, their numbers reached nearly fourteen thousand.
Against these numbers, the female demon quickly fell into a disadvantage. With gritted teeth, the woman shouted. "Return! Help me get rid of these traitors quickly!"
Yasenia's army didn't follow the retreating armies. Soon, the entire battlefield was in chaos. The woman was fighting with her two charmed people against the two vengeful ones, while on the other side, Yantao was being besieged by a berserk woman.
'Hm… The demons are winning.'
Evaluating the battlefield, the situation would end with the demon's victory. She could tell that the woman of the righteous sect was stronger than the male demon. Sadly for her, they were currently limited by the Secret Realm. Moreover, the male demon had a Large Temple army, while the woman had a Middle Temple army.
The woman was outnumbered 2 to 1.
The dragoness didn't move yet. 'They are all losing soldiers left and right. There is no reason for me to stop it.'
So, she waited.
Around half an hour later, the battlefields were slowly stabilizing. The female and male demon, together with the other two charmed males, gained a solid advantage and began cutting numbers down.
"It's time." Yasenia stepped forward, and the second she did so, the two demons looked over with venomous glares. They had never stopped paying attention to Yasenia, after all, she was a giant threat.
However, the second she stepped forward, their glares and the battlefield in general stopped.
Not figuratively, but everyone was restrained for a second when Yasenia stepped forward.
"[Tyrant Warlord Intent Domain…"
Yasenia's presence engulfed the entire battlefield.
"...Level 2]."
Waving her hand, like a general ordering the battle to continue, the army behind her moved in unison. "Slaughter my enemies."
All sixteen thousand of her troops, boosted by Yasenia's auras, rushed forward towards the male demon. The woman she was facing was in a terrible state, but with her uncaring fighting style, she managed to damage her enemies equally.
Yasenia was not done, though. Her eyes pierced through the battlefield, reaching Guo Yantao, and then, her seductive lips parted. "[Celestial Intent Domain]."
Both she and the demon disappeared from everyone else's sight.
