Lex was cultivating, studying and managing New Chelsea. By now, a few random guests had arrived within, but none who were particularly interesting or unique, attracting his attention. Besides, with such few guests inside, there weren't enough people to fully establish the dynamic of the place.
Mary was still plotting and planning, searching for Belle and the missing Inn workers, and the others were hard at work. There wasn't anything too particularly interesting going on. That meant it was the perfect time for Jack to return.
He had nothing else to do in the Nexus now that the castle was complete. The Midnight Castle was a part of the Inns territory, but it wasn't inside the Midnight realm and was isolated from the rest of the universe, so it should be pretty hard for anyone to go find it.
