Time seemed to stand still as a million eyes locked onto Jack, and Jack stared back. Then, as if there were nothing wrong at all, Jack closed the curtains, blocking his view!
"Well, at least I got a nap in before the mess started. That's nice," he muttered as he stepped in front of a mirror. Jack removed the disguise he was wearing and then looked at himself. He was dressed pretty normally, but if he was going to go out there and face whatever the hell was going on, he wanted to look the part. He didn't exactly have a suit on hand, nor a cool looking piece of armor, and an illusion would be pretty embarrassing if someone could see through it.
He looked around the room and found a red handkerchief upon which some chocolates were placed. Jack quickly devoured the chocolates and then tied the red handkerchief to his shoulders, making an impromptu cape. It would have to do.
