The village was desolate; many people left without returning, but most of them still came back to their hometown.
Ms. Fang and Old Man Lu began to rebuild their house and farm the land, and they even brought their own parents over to live with them. After all, their younger brother was gone, and their younger sister was missing. Ms. Fang and Old Man Lu couldn't be at ease with their elderly parents.
So the couple simply brought them over to live out their old age.
Later, Old Man Lu visited the village of Junior Ms. Fang's husband, and that side had also started to rebuild, but Junior Ms. Fang and her husband never returned. Since then, they have been missing and never appeared again.
Most people believed that they were already dead, but for their closest family, there was always a sliver of hope.
Ms. Fang felt this way, and so did her parents.
