A thin veil of mist covered the world of gray and darkness as Lith entered the next layer.
Hanging upside down were colossal structures of stony mountains, rugged, and barely with any flora.
"Where are we even supposed to go from here?" Meng Yuexin clicked her tongue. "This prison keeps getting absurd."
Lith nodded lightly at her comment. Though, unlike her, he could hear the whistle again.
It guided him to a mountain spaced a few hundred meters apart from the one he stood upon.
Looking below, the peaks of the mountains reached into endless darkness.
Feeling his back, Lith felt a slight tingle as his wings erupted.
He held Meng Yuexin by the waist, inciting a small gasp from her, and flew away.
"Aaaa…" Meng Yuexin covered her face, trying not to look down.
They were flying on empty space, moving toward another rugged mountain.
"This layer hates humans or what!?" Meng Yuexin questioned.
