Lith could see the faint outline of the bonfire's light from where he stood.
Being a Vampire, his night vision was strong and he could see Meng Yuexin's figure properly.
She was a good looking young lady, but the worry on her face might result in wrinkles in the long run.
Lith grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards the bonfire.
Meng Yuexin was hesitant. There was some resistance in her steps.
Lith didn't push her too much but also did not give her the time to change her mind.
"A-are you really going to—"
"Yes. Or do you want to sacrifice your brother instead?" Lith cut her off and asked non chalantly.
"N-no." Meng Yuexin kept her head lowered. She loved her brother just as much as he did to her, so there was no way she was letting him die.
Lith was not the one to play hero so he took her to the Laughing Pyre.
