Gluttony's energy no longer burned through my veins like wildfire, and the bruises left behind by the palace collapse had softened into dull aches now. Gena wrapped my torso in some enchanted bandages that smelled faintly of mint and ashes. The scent helped. The burn of healing magic? Not so much. Her purse had so many items, right?
Akira, Cyrus and Lust returned just before sunset, their silhouettes sharp against the reddening sky. All three were stained with blood, none of which was theirs.
