Over the course of the past five years, most of the dark elven population was wiped out off the face of Earth, but some lucky few still managed to slip past the net of death cast by the demon armies.
Among those few lucky individuals were the dark elf researchers of the 'SSB' or 'Southern Shore Bioweapon' research facility.
Due to the research facility being located in an extremely remote and barren area near the southern shore of the continent, it was never attacked by the demon armies and remained unaffected by the massive war.
