She picked up her phone and saw a push notification from Twitter.
Caroline clicked into it, and what met her eyes was a news bulletin released by the Capital's police.
Monica Alston was suspected of kidnapping Toby Janis, and now the investigation results were out; the evidence was conclusive. The case had been made clear, and she had already been prosecuted and was set to be sentenced.
She exited Twitter, put her phone down, and said, "Mr. Howard sure moves fast, cutting through the mess without any dilly-dallying."
Blake Fuller handed her a bottle of mineral water with the cap already unscrewed.
He spoke up, "Yeah, after all, only by acting swiftly can one salvage the love for one's wife and children."
Caroline agreed with a nod, then took a sip of the mineral water to moisten her throat.
As everyone was gathering their energy for the next scene, Director Philemon's voice calling for action drifted over.
