Chapter 1020 - Antique Hunting

The night of Wednesday, June 2nd, descended upon Sakura City like a velvet shroud woven with threads of neon and starlight. Nestled directly in the heart of the country, this breathtaking metropolis breathed with a rhythm that was both ancient and blindingly futuristic. It was here, centuries ago, that the Pendragon and Yamato clans unified the land amidst the whispers of the legendary Sakura Abode Forest, laying the stone foundations of a nation. Though the capital sat far inland, away from the ocean's coast, it was divided by the broad, crystalline waters of the country's largest river. The river ran so deep and pure that it mirrored the glowing city lights like a liquid galaxy, serving as a grand aquatic highway that seamlessly connected the landlocked capital to the distant sea. Plus, with the kingdom's massive high-tech railway system, there wasn't much difficulty transporting merchandise from coastal cities to the capital either by train or by river transportation.
