It was the final day of May, bringing both the end of the month and the fresh start of a new week. Warm, late-spring sunshine washed over the city, brightening the glass facades of the studio complex.
The campus gates had opened early to welcome the influx of staff. While many single animators still preferred the convenience of the company dormitories, a growing number had relocated to Elffire City with their families. To accommodate them, Theo had asked Sam to help them rent larger, separate residential blocks nearby—a move that fostered loyalty among his employees.
Theo drove his car through the parking lot access around 8 AM. Nodding to the security staff as they let him in. As he entered the building, he felt the familiar, creative hum of the building waking up. He was ready for another highly productive day.
