King Cloud
"Cloud, honey, you need to get ready," Ma gently shook my shoulder pulling me out of my sleep. My body ached in places I did not even know existed. Everything hurt. Absolutely everything and I wasn't sure if I could even will my body to move in that moment.
My heart felt worse. My heart felt heavy yet confused. Broken yet at the same time perfectly intact. I didn't know what I felt anymore. Mostly I just felt confused. I didn't want to lose consciousness last night. I still had so many questions for Adonis and my emotions got the best of me.
They took over everything as they always did.
"Cloud," Pa's hand rested on my shoulder and slowly turned me over. I opened my eyes then sighed when I realized I was supposed to get ready for the chapel.
Instantly tears pricked the corner of my eyes as I sniffed wondering how much tears I had left in my body.
