"Honestly I knew he was rotten from the first look at him. It's like he gets his suits from the children section," Adriano rolled his eyes.
"He was trying too hard to look good," Gino frowned.
After I had gotten home I told Adriano and Gino about what had happened at the lab. Obviously I had left out the details of me going to the Palace and speaking to King Adonis. Adonis had sent enough sushi to feed a small army so it only felt right to invite my friends.
We were seated on my couch watching TV with shiny bellies. Ezekiel had been kind enough to take me to the figurine store and I was amazed I had not known about it sooner. He insisted King Adonis would not allow me to pay for anything and even helped me pick out a few.
I still had no idea how to feel about the situation but I knew I was still a bit hurt. I wondered if everyone saw me the way David had. That there was no way I was man enough to be with a woman and just generally too obnoxious for my own good.
