"Get the fire ladder ready!" the fire chief ordered from the side. "The blaze is too intense. We have to rescue the child in Room 502 before we can continue the larger rescue operation!"
Since the fire couldn't be immediately extinguished, ensuring personal safety was paramount, especially with a three-year-old child involved. With the stairwell blocked, the only available rescue method was the fire ladder. It was made of a high-strength, flame-resistant material that was easy to fold and operate. Before long, the long ladder was ready.
"A fire ladder? Will that even work? How are they supposed to get into the room after climbing up?"
