Chapter 6 - Replicator

The moment the word surfaced inside his vision, another stream of information immediately flooded into his mind. Unlike the chaotic memory fragments from before, this knowledge arrived in a much more organized manner, almost as though Noct was deliberately teaching him how the system worked.

Kenny's breathing gradually slowed as he absorbed the information.

The Replicator was not simply a machine.

It was a manufacturing system so advanced that it bordered on creation itself.

As long as sufficient UV Energy existed to serve as fuel, and as long as a proper blueprint could be provided as a template, Noct could reconstruct almost any physical object through molecular replication and matter conversion.

Food.

Tools.

Weapons.

Machines.

Artificial components.

Theoretically—

Anything.

Kenny's eyes widened slowly.

"So this thing can literally create objects from thin air…" he muttered while staring at the floating interface before him.

The realization immediately sent another wave of excitement through his chest.

No wonder Noct had been able to reconstruct his destroyed legs so quickly.

The robot had not merely repaired him.

It had manufactured entirely new body parts directly from energy and material conversion.

Kenny slowly grinned.

"Now this…" he said quietly while rubbing his hands together, "this is getting interesting."

Immediately afterward, dozens of holographic screens expanded before his vision, displaying rows upon rows of strange blueprints and unfamiliar item designs.

[Access to Level One Blueprints initiated.]

The sheer number of available designs immediately stunned him.

Some resembled primitive medieval weapons crafted from unknown metals, while others looked completely alien in both structure and purpose. Kenny saw strange armor pieces covered in glowing runic lines, compact mechanical tools with rotating crystal cores, and several weapons that looked as though they belonged in science fiction movies rather than reality.

Even the food designs appeared bizarre.

Several holographic images displayed glowing fruits, nutrient cubes, and unidentified dishes made from materials Kenny could not even recognize.

"What the hell do these people eat…" Kenny muttered while staring at one of the floating food blueprints in confusion.

Still, despite how fascinating everything looked, his attention quickly shifted toward a more immediate concern.

Weapons.

This world apparently contained monsters capable of splitting mountains apart.

And according to Noct's earlier warning, powerful magus existed everywhere throughout this realm.

Kenny needed protection.

Fast.

"What about guns?" he suddenly asked while turning toward Noct. "Do you have firearm blueprints?"

Immediately, several new holographic models appeared before him.

Kenny's eyes narrowed slightly while examining them.

Some of the weapons resembled primitive crossbows combined together with mechanical components, while others looked like elongated metallic tubes designed to launch thin needle-shaped projectiles at extreme velocity.

A few vaguely resembled firearms from Earth, but their structures were strange and overly complicated, filled with multiple triggers, rotating chambers, and energy conduits Kenny could not understand.

All of them looked deadly.

But none of them felt familiar.

Kenny frowned.

"I was hoping for something more straightforward…" he muttered. "Do you have anything similar to guns from Earth?"

[Negative.]

Then, after a brief pause, Noct continued.

[However, because our neural systems are synchronized, as long as Master understands the basic concept and mechanical function of an item, I can assist in constructing an operational blueprint.]

Kenny froze.

Then his eyes slowly widened.

Engineering students spent years studying structure, mechanism, and design principles.

And Kenny?

Kenny had spent most of his free time obsessing over technology, machinery, robotics, and weapon systems from movies, documentaries, and games.

The implications were absurd.

"You mean…" Kenny said slowly, excitement visibly growing on his face, "I can literally create things using imagination?"

[Affirmative.]

That single answer immediately made Kenny's heartbeat accelerate.

Most people probably would not understand how incredible that sounded.

But Kenny did.

Because he knew exactly how terrifying the combination of advanced computation and human imagination could become.

A grin spread slowly across his face.

"Well then…" he muttered. "Let's start simple."

Almost immediately, the image of a handgun surfaced inside his mind.

A weapon so iconic that even people unfamiliar with firearms recognized its shape instantly.

The Colt 1911.

Reliable.

Simple.

Deadly.

The moment Kenny focused on the image, the connection between his mind and Noct activated instantly.

[Initiating Replication Design.]

[Small Firearm — Colt 1911.]

A three-dimensional holographic model suddenly materialized before Kenny's eyes.

The weapon rotated slowly in midair while countless streams of data appeared surrounding it. Internal structures separated apart automatically as the system analyzed every component piece by piece.

Barrel.

Slide assembly.

Receiver.

Trigger mechanism.

Magazine housing.

Even though Kenny lacked exact technical measurements, Noct's computational system immediately compensated for missing information, reconstructing the design according to Kenny's conceptual understanding.

Kenny watched in fascination as the blueprint gradually stabilized into a complete operational firearm.

It genuinely felt as though his imagination itself was being transformed into reality.

[Blueprint successfully created.]

[Replication process initiated.]

[Material selected: Dark Steel Alloy.]

[30 UV Energy consumed.]

Immediately, Noct's mechanical arms began moving.

Golden streams of energy emerged from the robot's palms before condensing into liquid metallic matter floating weightlessly in the air. The material continuously reshaped itself while internal mechanical components assembled one by one with frightening precision.

Kenny watched the process almost breathlessly.

The liquid metal gradually solidified into the shape of a handgun.

Slide.

Grip.

Barrel.

Every component formed seamlessly as though invisible hands were assembling the weapon at impossible speed.

Less than a minute later, the finished firearm floated gently toward Kenny's hand.

He caught it instinctively.

And froze.

The handgun felt real.

Not holographic.

Not artificial.

Real.

Kenny slowly examined the weapon while excitement spread visibly across his face. The Colt 1911 looked almost identical to the original Earth design, yet the metallic surface carried a faint dark sheen unlike normal steel.

It also felt lighter.

Far lighter.

Yet somehow sturdier at the same time.

"Wonderful…" Kenny whispered while inspecting every detail carefully.

Even the mechanical slide operated perfectly.

The sheer absurdity of the situation nearly made him laugh.

An engineering student from Earth had just designed and manufactured a firearm on another planet using alien replication technology.

And it worked.

Naturally, the next problem immediately surfaced.

Ammo.

Kenny frowned slightly.

Creating the weapon itself had been relatively easy because he understood the basic structure of a handgun. Ammunition, however, was more complicated.

While Kenny knew the general concept behind gunpowder and bullet cartridges, he lacked the precise chemical measurements necessary for proper replication.

Fortunately, Noct immediately compensated for the missing information.

[Master, an alternative explosive substance has been identified.]

[Designation: Moon Powder.]

[Classification: Medium-grade volatile compound.]

[Common usage among Necron firearm systems.]

Streams of information appeared before Kenny's eyes describing the material.

Apparently, Moon Powder behaved similarly to traditional gunpowder, except significantly stronger and more stable under compression.

Kenny's grin widened immediately.

"Perfect."

Once again, the replication system was activated.

This time, Kenny focused on the structure of .45 ACP rounds while Noct handled the exact measurements and material balancing automatically.

[Blueprint of .45 ACP ammunition successfully created.]

[Replication process initiated.]

[Material selected: Dark Steel Alloy.]

[2 UV Energy consumed.]

Several dark-colored bullets quickly formed within Noct's palms before floating toward Kenny.

The ammunition resembled ordinary .45 rounds at first glance, yet the surface carried the same black metallic sheen as the replicated handgun.

Kenny carefully picked one up.

It felt heavier than expected.

Denser.

More dangerous.

Slowly, he inserted the bullets into the magazine one by one before loading the handgun with a satisfying metallic click.

The moment the gun settled inside his grip, a strange sense of security immediately spread through his chest.

With his reconstructed body and an actual weapon in hand, Kenny finally felt slightly safer in this terrifying new world.

Still—

His curiosity only continued growing.

"If this thing can create firearms…" Kenny muttered thoughtfully while looking toward Noct, "Then can it create laser weapons too? Or robots? You must have military machines or drones somewhere in your database, right?"

The robot answered calmly.

[Such creations are possible.]

[However, advanced weaponry requires higher-level blueprints and significantly larger UV Energy reserves.]

[Current operational core remains critically damaged.]

Kenny's excitement cooled slightly.

Right.

The crash.

Until now, he had been so overwhelmed by his own transformation that he nearly forgot Noct itself had suffered severe damage during the descent.

If the robot's core remained unstable, then many advanced functions would probably still be inaccessible.

Kenny frowned slightly while considering the situation.

Repairing Noct might eventually become his highest priority.

But before he could think further—

Noct suddenly stiffened.

The violet glow inside its eyes intensified sharply.

Immediately afterward, warning symbols flashed violently across Kenny's vision.

[Warning.]

[Sensor systems detecting a powerful lifeform approaching at high speed.]

Kenny's expression instantly changed.

"What?"

His grip around the handgun tightened instinctively.

The atmosphere around Noct became noticeably tense.

[Accessing data…]

A brief pause followed.

Then the answer came.

[Magus-level individual detected.]
