Harvey was reading his book about legendary monsters, ghost,UFOs, and unsolved mysteries. He felt a warm and gentle hand touching his. He jumped as he quickly put the book down and look at Ahana sitting next to him. "What are you reading there?" She asked in her soft voice.
"H-huh?"
"Oh, you're reading a book called: "h-huh?" I've never heard of that! Let me just…" Ahana grabbed and yanked the book out of Harvey's hand.
Ahana opened the book and began to Quincy scan the pages of it. "Ahh…interesting. So you believe in the supernatural?" Ahana asked. "Y-yes ma'am. Umm…do you need me to do your homework or something?" Harvey asked.
Ahana smirked at winked at Harvey. "I didn't know I had a worker here. You'd do that for me?" Ahana asked.
"Listen, if Mandy sent you back here to mess with me…I'm really not in the mood-"
"I don't know who that is! I'm back here because out of everyone I've seen today, you've caught my attention." Ahana said. Ahana handed him the book and rested her head on her hand. "Wait, so…you willingly came up to me?" Harvey asked. "Yeah. What's wrong with that?" Ahana asked. "N-nothing! It's just…well, I uhh…don't really talk to anyone-or I'd say no one really talks to me or ever even notices me." Harvey said while playing with his fingers. Ahana glared at Harvey with a curious look. "Why's that? You're clearly the most interesting person in here."
"Stop." Harvey said. "Huh?" Ahana added. "I don't know what sick joke you're doing, but I just wanna go back to reading my book, okay?"
Harvey was a small kid. 16 years old, 5'6 in height, black hair that was cut at the sides and dropped to the top of his ears in the middle, a round face with perfectly clean glasses, and wore blue jeans, an oversized white shirt; with air forces. "Wanna be left alone, yeah? I can get with that." Ahana replied as she turned her chair and looked ahead. (Very interesting).
******
Ahana walked into the cafeteria alone and scouted out the place. (Where is Joey? I haven't been able to sense any sort of jinn energy inside the school. The person who we're looking for must be great at hiding it.). Ahana saw Harvey sitting down reading his book again. This time, she could see jinn energy coming from his book bag. (What's this?!)
Ahana walked over and dropped her book bag on the table. "Huh? What do you want this time?!-"
"Shut up." Ahana said in a serious tone. "Give me your bag." She demanded. "HUH?! I knew Mandy put you up to this. Listen, I already told her I was sorry about what happened in the classroom! I didn't mean to walk past her and put my smell on-"
"I already told you…I don't know a damn Mandy!!"
"Well you sure are acting like a damn bully!! I don't wanna give you my bag!"
"I'll simply follow you home then." Ahana said with the death stare. "That's fine…I have no home anyway."
"Let me guess, a foster kid?"
Harvey gasped and finally looked up at Ahana. "How did you…"
"Now we're finally getting somewhere…I can tell from just looking at you, you don't even know where you truly come from…just like me, Harvey."
"Well, I know where I come from I just…don't know my parents."
"No. You know what state you're from. If you don't know your parents, then you don't truly know your own history or origin of how you came to be. You're lost…just like me."
Harvey quincly grabbed all of his things and tried to walk past Ahana. Ahana grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled him in. (She's insanely strong!) Harvey thought. "Harvey, I'm not kidding. Just let me take a peak, man."
"No, I don't want you in my bag! I got personal stuff in here, old lady!"
"O-old lady?! Ahana grabbed Harvey by his shirt and pulled him in. "Let me tell you something, four-eyes, we're the same damn age if I'm not mistaken! Don't ever call a girl "old." You damn kid!"
"You thought that would hurt my feelings didn't you? I'll have you know, being called a kid is a good thing. I believe being a kid is the prime time of life!" Harvey said proudly.
(I know exactly what kind freak he is. I bet I could lure him out and just see what he's got.)
"Harvey…do you wanna see a ghost tonight?"
******
The bell ringed loudly to Joey. Joey rolled his eyes and grabbed his bag. (Why can't I sense any energy? She must be really good at hiding her energy. I'm not too worried about Ahana either, I actually think she'll be fine, as long as she's surrounded by the right people. I'll make sure of that. I wonder if she's having the same energy issues I am. I literally can't even locate the person we're looking for.)
Joey was lost in thought as he walked down the hallway. A girl accidentally bumped into him and fell down. "I'm sorry!" The both of them said at the same time. Joey leaned over and held out his hand. The girl looked up at him to reveal a pair of red eyes. Joey nearly fell back. "Your eyes…why are they-"
"Ahaha!! Everyone I've ran into ask the same old thing! It's just a type of albinism. Sorry to freak you out." The girl said as she bags to pick up her notes. The girl had short hair that was curly at the ends, also with the color red at the ends of her black hair. She wore a pinafore dress with a long sleeve black shirt underneath and long black socks with white shoes.
Joey helped her pick up her notes. He and her accidentally touched hands. The girl gasped and just looked at Joey. Joey ignored it and continued grabbing the papers before lifting his head to see the girl blushing. "Uhh…are you okay?"
"Y-yes, sorry. It's just…you're really good looking!" She gasped. "You, uhh…have a girlfriend by chance?"
"I do not, but I'm not looking for anything at the moment-"
"Perfect! You should…come to my volleyball game. After that, I can show you around town and stuff. You seem new around here…I've never seen your face." The girl said. She furnishes picking up her supples. "I'm Rose. What's your name?"
"My name is Lucas." Joey lied. (Can't go around having my actual name get out. I'm trying my best to just fit in, but people like this…)
"Lucas. It's really…nice to meet you." Rose said with a smile.
******
For the remainder of the day, Joey hadn't know. Why or how, but he and Rose ended up having the same class as well. This was the last period of the day before school was out. "You don't talk or go out much do you, Lucas?"
"Nope."
Rose slightly squinted her red eyes. "Then why are you even at school? Your parents don't like homeschooling?"
"Just because someone doesn't like to go out or talk to anyone, doesn't mean-"
"No, I'm saying you don't like to live life." Rose interrupted. Joey slowly turned his head and looked at Rose in the eyes. "Forced to be here? Not wanting to come? I understand all to well, Lucas. Truth is, I didn't want to come here either. My mother and father had passed away recently…I've been having to stay with relatives down here.so I had no choice but to come here. It's almost like I'm leaving behind what I could've been or what I once was."
"You could say something like that." Joey replied. "I agree with you though…to some extent. Having to leave behind something or someone that could've been." Joey added.
"Yeah, well, it is what it is. No turning back now." Rose said as she copied the notes off of the notebook. (You should…try to live life more often, brother.) Joey could hear what Ahana said before they started school. "Rose." Joey whispered over. "Yes?" She replied. "What time if your game?"
At the exact same time and in their different areas of the school, Joey and Ahana both thought:
(He'll be fine for tonight.)
(She'll be fine for tonight.)
******
"I don't know how…but I tonight I could just walk on out of the building." Harvey sighed as he took a sip of water. "Don't worry about it. I just wanna show you a spirit." Ahana said as the two took a right turn down a dark alley. "Isabella, this seems a little-"
"Don't you dare backdown now, Harvey. I won't let you. We're almost there…so, please…walk with me. Need me to hold your hand or something?"
"H-hold my hand?!" Harvey gasped as his face turned red. "Y-you hold…m-my-"
"Oh, for crying out loud!" Ahana grabbed him by the hand and pulled him down the alley. "Perfect." Ahana said as she quickly grabbed Harvery's bag. "Wh-what are you doing?! Harvey yelled. "I can't believe you actually listened to me about brining your bag!!" Ahana laughed.
"Isabella, stop it!! I can't let you-" Harvey bit down on Ahana's hand. "MY HAND!!" Ahana screamed. She wrapped her legs around the arms of Harvey and fell to the ground.
She used her arms to grab the bag while Harvey struggled to break free. "Isabella would you just listen?! If you open that bag…you're gonna-"
Ahana laughed as she opened the bag…she saw nothing but an old and rotting away brown teddy bear. Ahana looked at it for a while and released her grip from her legs on Harvey. Ahana's face began to bloat into a bubble as she tried her best to hold in her laugh. "Pfft….phfttahahahaha!!!!" Ahana dropped the bear and began rolling on the ground. "You jackass!! I told you not to open my bag!! Now look what you've done!! You got the damn thing a mess!!" Harvey yelled. Ahana stopped her laughter immediately and looked back at the bear. (Why does this bear have energy surrounding it? At first, I was almost certain it was a cursed object! However, the bear doesn't have enough energy on it to be a cursed object. This bear…is possessed?). Ahana leaned her body foward and gave the bear back to Harvey. "Harvey…where did you get the bear from?"
"Huh? After all you just did, you think I'm gonna-"
Ahana pulled him in closer. "I'm trying to save your life! Now, think of where and how you got it! This is imporant stuff!"
"It's…it's something I was told was given to my by my parents." Harvey said. Ahana put her hand on her chin. "Was told? Who told you that?"
"One of the ladies who do night shift where I live. I'm still waiting to get adopted, so…I've been moving from town to town and city to city a lot. I've been here for about 4 years. I got that bear recently and, well…I know it's from both my parents."
(What he's saying is so dumb. It's obviously a set up, but why? Why would a jinn give him that-….i need to stay the night with Harvey one day. I need to find that woman!)
"I understand." Ahana said.
******
"Is it finally ready to be open?" The woman asked the small man. "Yes ma'am. It's only a matter of time before the soldier is ready." The man said as he kneeled to the woman. "You may stand." She said. The man stood up and opened the door for the woman. There was a massive, pulsating cocoon in the middle of the room, hanging from the roof of what looked like blood veins. Twenty armed people stood around the massive thing. It illuminated intense red jinn energy. The woman walked into the room, causing every head to immediately drop. "….daughter of Harben….it is nice to see you." A woman said. "Ahh…Ms. Tammy! How are you and the family?"
"We are good, Beta…very good. I am pleased to see you here. You'll be happy to know that Malice is almost done. It shouldn't be long before-"
Just then…the cocoon began to vibrate at a powerful rate. The soldiers immediately took their stands and prepared themselves. "What's going on, Ms.Tammy?" Beta asked. "I-I'm not so sure! I thought Malice wasn't complete for another day or two?!" Tammy said frantically.
"This is good then. We can kill Ahana and Joey faster-"
"No, ma'am. If malice comes out early…he may have some of his old memories and can even act more violent!" Ms. Tammy explained.
"Soldiers…ready yourselves!!" Beta ordered as she walked out of the room and shut the door.
Moments later, the cocoon bursted open, exploding with jinn energy and blood. Beta opened the door and slowly walked in. The dust cleared to reveal a massive man, floating in the middle of the room. (He's absolutely…beautiful. Just look at you! Even now…with you not even fully awake, I can sense that you're at the extreme-high-level! Almost an insane level entity! Wait…what's this?! Is he…crying?)
Beta squinted her eyes to see Malice looking down at his hands with tears in his eyes. "Now…just how is it…that you show emotion?" Beta asked as she walked into the room. Malice lifted his head and locked eyes with Beta, his powerful jinn energy almost knocking her back with its powerful presence. Beta tried not to show it, but Malice's energy alone made her want to grab the nearest knife and slice her throat. "You sure are…truly terrifying- and that's a good thing. However, I don't remember you having emotions being correct. You do remember your history with the clan…right?" Beta asked.
Malice ignored her and continued to look at his body. "Mhm." He said in his smooth, yet terrifying deep voice. "I know…the curse your great…great grandfather placed on me." Malice replied as he looked around at the terrified people. "Ahh so you understand your role here?"
Malice looked back at Beta and just looked at her with a very blank expression. You've been given this…modified body to fulfill your role in this world. The role that you put upon yourself, Malice. You're no longer a human…you died many years ago. That body you have now…it's just part human…but 95 percent of if is jinn, just like your soul. You're also a jinn who's been put inside this…calamity. You look more human, though…its fascinating!" Beta laughed.
"Ms." Malice said.
"Hmm?"
"I'm doing…everything in my power to not kill you where you stand. Please…watch your mouth, woman."
"Oh? Threats like that…you will simply trigger your curse. You can't kill or harm anyone from the Mighty clan. So id play nice." Beta announced.
Malice decided to land on the ground…and from the very moment that the edge of his claws on his toes touched the ground, the entire country was immediately feeling the pressure and energy from Malice.
******
Before Ahana could say anything else to Harvey, her nose began to bleed. She dropped to a knee and could immediately see the thick red jinn energy clouding everything. "Isabella?!! Are you okay?! Are you hurt?!" Harvey asked as he tried to help Ahana to her feet. (This…energy…what's…whats the meaning of this?!)
*****
Joey was sitting down, eating popcorn on the bleachers with the crowd. He suddenly felt sick to his stomach. He dropped the bag and grabbed at his heart. Red energy flooded the entire gym instantly. (Where's Ahana?!) Joey thought frantically.
******
Malice towered over Beta. He stood at the height of 6'11, lean with an almost skeletal elegance. Malice was also pale porcelain colored with tattoos on his arms. He had very deep crimson colored eyes that glowed in the dark, and two horns that curved upwards towards the ceiling, there shape resembling that of a twister from the sky. Malice also had dark pinkish hair that was also blended in with red, creating a ruby or crimson-like coloring.
Everyone trembled at the sight of Malice. Malice looked over his shoulder and noticed Ms. Tammy in fear. "You all…must kneel. I shouldn't have to say it." Malice said. Beta took a few steps back and watched as Malice walked over to Ms. Tammy. "Humans are so…fragile." Malice sighed as he grabbed Tammy by her head. "I told you that you couldn't harm-"
Malice ripped off the woman's head and began to eat it. "I already know she's one of the families you all use to serve the clan. She's not truly part of the mighty clan. Do not take me as a fool, woman." Malice said as he swallowed the rest of Tammy and walked over to the soldier. "All of these guys aren't part of the clan by blood. This is my dinner. You're free to leave." Malice said as he grabbed the next man. (This thing…truly is beautiful.) Beta quickly ran out and locked the door, only to hear the screams and fighting of the men trappped inside. "Ahana…Malice will kill you. I look forward to it! The hunt is about to begin!!"
