'Yes, after Ehit is killed, this world will have no more need of the liberators' - Lyutillis replied as she closed her eyes.
Altina was silent before letting out a sigh - 'Does that mean the labyrinth will stop protecting us?'
'I'm sorry to say, but that will be the case' - Lyutillis replied with a frown, though she quickly calmed down - 'Though you need not worry, with your aura which is very similar to mine, and with the power I will give you, you will be able to control the [Ancient Treants] I will summon, with them you can protect your people, though I must warn you, they will not be able to leave the labyrinth.'
'That doesn't matter, we have already decided that we will live in this place, although I would like to ask you to allow us to move to the end of the labyrinth' - said Altina with a tone full of hope, although her expression collapsed when she saw how the ancient elven princess shook her head - 'Why?'
'Because it is dangerous' - Lyutillis replied with a frown - 'These places where we build the labyrinths, they are areas that even prevent the gods from acting, it is obvious that it is for a reason, and until recently I found out what it was...'
Altina was silent as she looked carefully at the blonde woman, the same woman who had inspired so many stories.
"Beneath this place there is a seal that prevents the return of an extremely dangerous monster, one that even the ancient gods could not defeat' - Lyutillis said seriously, which made the young elf girl turn pale with terror - 'And no, I'm not lying.... The thing is, we don't know what kind of powers this creature has, so there is a possibility that it controls some of the inhabitants of Verbergen, which would endanger not only our people, but the whole world."
Altina maintained her silence as she nodded weakly - 'I understand...'
Lyutillis simply ordered the [Ancient Treant] to take the girl out of the place, after all, she could hand over her power to him when she took the core out of the labyrinth.
'Wouldn't it be better if she came with us?' - Shea asked as he cocked his head to one side.
'No, that might cause the monster to influence her in some way, it's better to be safe than sorry' - Meiru replied after understanding the motives behind her friend's actions - 'That aside, this is relatively good for them, now they will be able to get out of the labyrinth, although this will also have harsh consequences'
'From another perspective, I don't think they'll have that much trouble' - Cloud said while frowning - 'Remember that only the demons that are currently in Verbergen are left, because the others were killed by Amanogawa and Umbra, not counting Alva's disappearance.'
The girls nodded when they heard these words.
"Anyway, we'd better get this over with because we still have one last place to go," Cloud said seriously.
'Where?' - Meiru asked as she raised an eyebrow.
Cloud didn't answer, he just kept silent because honestly, he didn't know where he was heading, he just knew he felt a small connection in that direction.

'Is what you say true?' - Ulfric asked as he looked at his granddaughter, who simply nodded - 'I see...'
'This is good for us, I mean, if what Lyutillis-sama said is true, then we could potentially be the kingdom with the most power in Tortus' - said Guze as he started to think - 'Don't you think so too?'
'Indeed, but it's also a bit worrying that we will be left without the protection of the labyrinth' - Mao replied with a frown - 'Yes, the [Ancient Treants] are strong, but not infallible...'
Ulfric remained silent as he bit his lip.
'Are you still thinking about that blonde boy?' - Guze asked as he looked at his friend and rival - 'You want answers yes or yes about Yggdrasil.'
"I can't contain it, it's impossible not to want to know about the sacred tree when I have someone who knows the truth" - replied Ulfric as he shook his head - "That aside, my rational side tells me to stay away".
'You'd better follow that rational part, after all, it's not a good idea to get on the bad side of a group that is confident enough to take on the supreme god of this world' - said Guze neutrally - 'I understand how you feel, but at the same time I cannot allow Verbergen to fall for the elves' wish'.
Ulfric nodded weakly, though his expression changed when he saw a small branch appear in front of the group, which had a sphere between its leaves - 'Is that it?'
'Possibly, a fragment of the core containing Lyutillis-sama's ancient magic' - Mao replied with a small feeling of envy, after all, getting the power of one of the liberators without doing anything, was something anyone would wish for.
Altina slowly touched the sphere as she felt her mana pool change slightly, as well as getting a headache from all the information that had invaded her brain - 'Ugh...'
'Altina!' - Ulfric exclaimed as he ran to his granddaughter and caught her before she fell to the ground - 'Are you alright?'
'Lots of information... headache...' - Altina muttered as she let out a groan of pain.
'Oh, I understand' - nodded Guze as he took the fragments of the sphere - "Interesting, it still contains a bit of residual mana, though it's so tiny it's useless, however, the really impressive thing is the crystal itself, if I remember correctly, this crystal was created using as starting material a mixture of soul sand and a mineral that I can't yet identify..."
Ulfric ignored these words, he was more concerned with his granddaughter than the mutterings of his old friend.

'Well, that about wraps it up,' Lyutillis said as she let out a sigh at the sight of what remained the core of her labyrinth, 'I know it's done its job, but I feel it's a waste that I have to destroy my baby...'
'I know, I feel the same way you do' - sighed Meiru as she started to think.
'Well, they can build another one in my world' - Cloud replied calmly.
'But from what you said, your world doesn't possess a shred of mana, so there's no way it can support the creation of a place as big as a maze' - Meiru replied with a frown - 'Even if we use the cores of all our companions'
By now, the group was flying in the direction of the sea, a place where Cloud could feel something calling him.
'Wait... that's not your original world...' - Meiru said as she understood what the blond was trying to say - 'I see... that would explain your relationship with Yggdrasil, why you are different from the rest of the heroes, and finally, why you can control your mana so precisely.'
Cloud simply remained silent as he crossed his legs
'Are you sure it's in this direction?' - Yue asked as she frowned because she couldn't sense anything in the distance, in fact, she couldn't even make out an island or anything like that.
Lyutillis also went through something similar, none of her senses seemed to detect anything around, and that they had already entered the sea area.
'Yeah, I can feel it' - Cloud replied as he frowned slightly - 'A few more kilometres and we'll be in place.'
The girls looked at each other as Tio continued flying without much trouble.
The minutes passed quickly, time in which the girls started chatting random things, at least until Cloud signalled Tio to stop.
'Is this it, Cloud?' - Tio asked as she looked around, only to frown when she saw nothing.
The others had a similar expression, though it changed when they saw the young blond jump into the sea.
'Cloud?!' - The girls exclaimed as they watched the blond's silhouette disappear into midair - 'Huh?'
'An invisible barrier?' - Shea asked as she spread her wings and leapt after her beloved.
Tio began to descend as well, though to her surprise, she felt as if a strong repulsive force was preventing her from following the blond pair.
'Maybe it's because of your size?' - Meiru asked as she started to think - "Ok, I'll give it a try"
The Dagon-Vampire hybrid jumped behind the two blondes, only to feel a repulsive force also blocking her from moving forward - 'Or maybe not...'
Shea was about to jump, when she saw a golden flash shoot up from below, which quickly transformed into Yue, who was frowning - 'Yue-san?'
'Tch, looks like I only managed to get close because I took advantage of the opening Cloud created' - Yue muttered with a frown.
Lyutillis frowned slightly before feeling a strange sensation.
'Lyu-chan?' - Meiru asked as she looked at her friend.
'I'll be back in a moment,' muttered Lyutillis as she jumped behind the blonde man.
The girls were silent, though they wore surprised expressions as they watched the elf princess seemingly break through the invisible barrier that had blocked the others.
"Okay, that's a surprise," Meiru said as she stroked her chin, "Although now I'm curious as to what kind of thing would exist inside a barrier that only allows Cloud and Lyu-chan to be present..."
