[These prey are not enough] - said Umbra with an annoyed tone - [It's time for us to go after our prey]
"You mean my former companions?" - Kouki asked with a frown because she felt that she still didn't have enough power to be able to accomplish this goal.
[Do you feel bad about killing your former colleagues?] - asked Umbra with disdain.
"No" - replied Kouki while frowning - "I don't care about them, in fact, the only person I care about is Kaori, and even now I think that those feelings are stupid..."
[You're right, your feelings are stupid, human emotions aren't worth it] - Umbra said with disdain - [The only important thing in this life is power, and everything you can do with it]
Kouki was silent for a few seconds before nodding because Umbra's words were true. The more power he gained, the better he felt, to the point that he finally felt he was free, there was nothing to bind him and he could do whatever he wanted.
Women? He could do whatever he wanted with them, even force them if they refused.
Friends? They were unnecessary to his cause.
Love? It was useless, he knew that first hand after the girl he liked betrayed him, even the girl who had been by his side for the longest time, left with the man he hated the most.
Kouki was silent as a dark aura surrounded his body like a second skin.
Umbra let out a small chuckle as he saw his corruption growing.
He wasn't being completely honest with Kouki, and it wasn't as if this was a surprise. Umbra wasn't lying when he said he wouldn't harm Kouki, nor was he lying when he said he would help him fulfill his greatest dream. The part where the cursed sword had lied, was in one small detail that the former hero was ignoring, and that was that Umbra wouldn't take possession of his body, but that didn't mean she wouldn't take possession of HIS body.
Umbra was slowly changing Kouki's body to adapt to His power.
This was a slow process that needed his soul as a catalyst to initiate the changes in his victim's body.
In other words, without realizing this, Kouki was ceasing to be himself under Umbra's influence.
[Are you ready, comrade?"] asked Umbra with a small laugh.
"Yes, let's go to my former comrades" - muttered Kouki with a cold look - "Though it'll take at least a week to get to the capital"
[More than enough time to get a snack] - said Umbra as the former hero let out a sigh.

Four days had passed, time in which the girls had laid everything out on the table to try to get a better grasp of the situation after taking Cloud to the capital.
Yes, they had packed up and flown over Tio to save time because Umbra's threat was serious.
"I didn't think I'd see Strife unconscious" - Ryutaro said while frowning - "I guess he's human too"
"Human is a bit of an ambiguous term for this situation, I'd say he has limits" - Jugo said while folding his arms - "Even though I'm the only one who feels strange that every time we meet Strife, he has more beautiful women around him?"
"Does that surprise you? Strife has always been popular" - Kentaro replied as he snorted in annoyance, only to let out a groan of pain at his girlfriend's swat - "I'm sorry..."
"Spanked" - Jugo said as he looked at his friend with a huge smile upon his lips.
"That aside, whatever happened to Strife-kun, it had to have been something extremely dangerous to leave him in that state, which makes me extremely curious" - Suzu said as she tilted her head - "I mean, compared to us, Strife-kun has been fighting unimaginable beasts"
"Now that you mention it, I'm curious too" - said Ryutaro as he folded his arms - "As you would expect from the dragon of annihilation"
"True, Dragon-kun is strong" - nodded Jugo as the others nodded.
Dragon of Annihilation, that was the title Cloud had achieved as an adventurer thanks to his enormous destructive power, there were even people who called him the true demon king, although this was due to the rumours the church had spread to reduce his popularity, although this had a counterproductive effect, because all races, with the exception of humans, treated Cloud as an ally, mostly because of the bad image the church of Ehit had because of its doctrine of human supremacy.
"I wonder when he'll wake up" - Suzu said while tilting her head - "Honestly, I'd feel safer with him awake"
Ryutaro frowned slightly, though he had to admit that his girlfriend's words were true. He was also feeling a little terrified at the thought of his best friend killing him to consume his soul, though he obviously wouldn't admit it because he didn't want to show weakness in front of his girlfriend.
The other boys seemed to be displaying similar attitudes, while the girls were doing their best to copy their classmates' actions.
"What are they doing?" - Aiko asked as she looked around and noticed how a large portion of her students were gathered together conversing, though it brought a small smile to her face as it reminded her of the situation before they were summoned to this world.
"We were talking about Strife, Ai-chan sensei" - answered Ryutaro honestly.
"Strife-kun returned to the capital?" - Aiko asked in surprise, after all, she hadn't seen Cloud in a long time. She asked a few more questions before rushing into the room where the blond was, leaving her students in a state of confusion.
'You guys don't think Ai-chan sensei is in love with Cloud?' - Suzu asked as she looked at the others.
'Impossible' - replied the boys, although this answer didn't seem to be their true feelings because they had different kinds of expressions, even the former members of the [Ai-chan's Bodyguard] were a bit self-conscious when they heard Ryutaro's girlfriend's question.
'Though it's possible that she feels a little responsible for Strife-san' - said Kousuke Endou as he appeared in front of the group.
'What do you mean, Endou-kun?' - Suzu asked in surprise as she watched the boy with no presence appear on the spot.
'It's simple, Hatayama sensei is supposedly the one responsible for us, but it's Strife-san who's doing all the work to try and get us back home' - said Kousuke as he shook his head - 'That's got to have her a bit self-conscious, not to mention that she's also got to feel guilty for making Strife-san have the blood of her classmates on his hands...'
The heroes frowned when they heard this, though they had to admit that Endou's words made sense.
"Do you think he has found a way to return home?" asked Jugo as he looked around. - Jugo asked as he looked around - "I ask because if he is back, even in that state, it is because he finished the last maze"
The heroes looked at each other with excitement, because this was true. Cloud had achieved what they thought was impossible, to be able to complete all the mazes together with his group.
"We just have to wait," Ryutaro said as he shook his head, though he really hoped that the blond would achieve this goal.

"Ai-chan sensei?" - Kaori said with surprise as she saw the teacher walking in her direction - "I thought she was next to Lili"
"I came back to see my students when I heard they returned" - Aiko replied with a small smile, although inside she was lamenting that one of her most beloved students, had to be revived in another body in order to continue to exist - "Yaegashi-chan and Strife-kun are in the room? "
"Shizuku-chan is picking up something in [Orcus]'s labyrinth together with Tio-san" - Kaori replied while shaking her head - "As for Cloud..."
Aiko frowned slightly because from the silver-haired girl's attitude, she managed to detect that something had happened to her blonde student - "What was it that happened to Strife-kun?"
"The truth is we don't know, Yue-san said he lost consciousness and has been like this for the past five days" - Kaori replied with a frown, though her expression changed when she saw the door to the nearby room open, revealing a handsome blond boy - "Cloud!"
Cloud gave her a confused look - "What's wrong, Kaori?"
"Weren't you unconscious?!" - Kaori exclaimed in surprise as she ran to the young blond boy's side and started touching his body.
Cloud gave her a blank look before rolling his eyes at her - "I wasn't unconscious, I just couldn't wake up"
"Huh?" - Kaori was silent as she couldn't make sense of her beloved's words - "What do you mean?"
"That I could feel everything that was going on around me in fine detail" - Cloud replied as he gave her a blank stare.
Kaori blushed when she heard this because she had done something improper in Cloud's room thinking he wouldn't find out - "Teeehee ~!"
