"Well, at least we got there without any more trouble despite the stares" - said Shea with a frown - "Maybe we should have come with necklaces, even if they were accessories."
"Hmm, that wouldn't have been a bad idea, although it's a bit demeaning" - replied Tio as she shook her head.
"I thought you liked that kind of situation" - Shea said as she raised an eyebrow.
"Normally, yes, though it is when I'm with Cloud" - Tio replied as she shook her head - "After all, I can't hurt the pride of my race with my fetishes."
"Oh, ta see, that makes sense" - Shea nodded, though at the same time she felt a little strange, as if something was out of place, and it wasn't as if she could be blamed when Tio in another dimension was a woman who only lived for her fetish, to the point that she constantly muddied the pride of her race.
"That aside, I think we'd better get inside," Tio said as she shook her head.
"Right" - nodded Shea with a small smile.
The two women entered and gained the attention of all the merchants, after all, the appearance of demi-humans in this place could mean that they wanted to sell themselves as slaves, which was not very strange, especially for people of non-human races. The empire was a place where human supremacy was permeated deep in its culture, so it should come as no surprise that the living situation of the semi-human races was not the best, especially with the "mysterious disappearance" of the slaves.
"Hello, welcome to the merchant guild, how can I help you?" - The receptionist asked with a smile.
"Hello, we have come to buy information" - said Tio as she handed her a note.
"Miss, we don't have that kind of business" - replied the receptionist with a frown, although she quickly understood what kind of information it was - "Oh, you don't need to buy anything, I can help you directly".
"Thank you very much, and sorry for not choosing my words well" - replied Tio with an apologetic smile.
"Don't worry, it's not the first time it's happened, although I'm curious to know why you want to talk to a bard" - said the receptionist because this was the first time someone needed those idiots who were only good for singing and deceiving women in need of affection with their poetry.
"It's because we need it to get a certain object," Shea answered honestly.
Tio gave her a glance, but didn't stop her because this information wasn't necessarily secret, besides, even if the people in this place knew about the golden apple, they wouldn't be able to do much with them in the place.
"I understand..." - nodded the receptionist as she stopped probing the subject because if she kept asking it would be in bad taste - "As for the information you're looking for, you're in luck, there's a bard available and he can arrive at any time, so you could wait."
"Thank you very much" - smiled Tio as she asked the receptionist a few more questions.
"Tio-san, I think we might as well buy some supplies" - said Shea, who also wanted to help the receptionist a bit so she wouldn't get in trouble for helping them.
"You're right" - nodded Tio as she started to place an order with the kind receptionist.
When they were done, the two walked to the waiting section and sat down, at least until they heard a male voice speak to them.
"Hello, I'd like to talk to you," said a young man in his 20s with blond hair and a green suit.
"I guess you're a bard" - said Shea while frowning because he didn't like the look on this guy's face.
"That's right, my name is Leaf, and I'm the best bard in this town" - Leaf said with a small smile as he bowed - "It's a pleasure to be able to engage in conversation with such beautiful ladies."
Tio and Shea were about to ignore the guy, when they heard the receptionist speak to them - "I see you've already met Leaf, he's the guy you're looking for."
"You're looking for me?" - Leaf repeated with a huge grin - "I guess my 'exploits' must have spread around the area, not bad actually"
"I think you're having a serious misunderstanding Leaf, they didn't come as "clients" like those noblewomen, they came to hire you as a bard" - replied the receptionist with disgust.
Leaf frowned again when she heard this - "I understand, please follow me".
The two women were surprised when they saw the seriousness in his look, thinking that this guy was not as bad as they first thought.
"Now we can talk" - Leaf said as he looked around and took off the stupid green hat that covered almost all of his hair, showing that this was blond, though that wasn't the most important thing, but rather the long ears he had.
"An elf?" - Shea said in surprise.
"Shh, don't talk so loud," Leaf muttered as he frowned.
"Why are you showing us your true identity?" - Tio asked with a frown.
"To confirm that I won't hurt you or cheat on you" - Leaf replied with a small smile - "That's why I would like to ask you to be my partner".
"I'm sorry, but we are married" - Shea answered immediately. She didn't even take a few seconds to say these words, surprising the elf.
"Oh, I see, I guess I'll have to try a little harder to prove how good a match I can be" - Leaf smiled, not noticing how the two women were beginning to frown - "Anyway, what do you need from me?"
"We require your services, though it is not here in the city, but rather in the sea of trees" - replied Tio honestly.
"The sea of trees?" - Leaf repeated with a frown, after all, he had heard the rumours - "You mean the place that was conquered by the demons? No thanks, I don't want to die yet."
"No, we're not going to Verbergen" - Tio replied as she shook her head.
"Please explain in more detail because for now I find no reason to go with you" - replied Leaf while shaking his head.
"You're right" - nodded Tio with a small smile.
Shea smiled as well, and in the process, causing a bad feeling for Leaf, who quickly tried to escape, though before he could take a step, he felt everything go dark - "F-Fuck..."
When they were sure Leaf was unconscious, the two girls nodded and left with him lying down, though not before Tio created an illusion over them so they wouldn't be seen.
"Are you two done talking?" - The receptionist asked in surprise.
"Yes, it's a pity he didn't accept" - replied Tio while feigning regret - "We've already wasted more time than necessary, so we'll have to go back home."
"Oh, I'm sorry" - sighed the receptionist, though she quickly changed to a smile - "By the way, your supplies are ready."
"Thank you very much" - nodded Tio as she handed her the money and signalled Shea to take the supplies.
"They're very heavy, so you'd better..." - said the receptionist, though her expression changed as she watched Shea take the huge bag that had taken 10 burly men the move - ". . ."
"Huh? Is something wrong?" - Shea asked, confused by the look on the receptionist's face.
"No, it's nothing" - sighed the receptionist as she shook her head - "Thank you very much for buying from us, I hope you'll be back soon".
"We will" - nodded Tio as the two girls walked out of the merchants' guild.
"They got out" - muttered a man as he watched the duo leave - "But is this a good idea?"
"What happens now is not our problem, we're just here to send the signal" - replied another man as he shook his head.
* * * * *
"Uncle-san..." - Shea said as she wiggled her ears.
"I know, they surrounded us" - replied Tio as she looked around - "They can come out of hiding!"
"They have better senses than I thought, though that doesn't matter, they'd better follow us" - said the soldier leading the group of crooks - "We promise you they'll be fine".
"I doubt it, I can feel the lust in your eyes" - replied Tio disdainfully - "Just say what you mean because we have to be on our way"
"I'm sorry, but that won't be possible, because from now on you won't have any more freedom" - said the soldier as his eyes sparkled with excitement, after all, Tio was so sexy that he could hardly contain his excitement - "Let's go!"
"Heh, heh, heh, heh, remember the deal" - said one of the crooks as he licked his lips.
"Yeah, she'll be yours when I'm done, though you'll have to give her back to me when you're done having fun, unless you want the city guard after your ass" - replied the soldier neutrally.
"Tch, if it wasn't for you being smart enough to leave clues about your movements and mine, I would have killed you already" - growled the thug as he shook his head - "You know boys".
"Some things never change" - sighed Tio as she gave a firm stomp.
The thugs fell to the ground from the imbalance of the sudden quake, only to let out a cry of pain and anguish as they saw black flames surround their bodies.
The screaming continued for a few more minutes, only to be followed after a few seconds by a breeze of ashes flying out of the alley.
