As Andrew and Nate were running as fast as possible to get home; police and firetruck sirens started blaring. Andrew could feel his stomach getting lower in the pits of his body. He put his hand over his heart to feel it's palpitations.
"Holy shit dude, what if what I saw was real?"
Andrew asked with a raspy tone in between breaths. Nate shook his head in denial, stating...
"Brother you speak of premonitions and oracle type shit. We don't believe in that crap, why would you think that's the case? You are worried for nothing I believe."
Still trying to convince himself that Nate was right, Andrew spoke back to him.
"But I saw the asteroid in my kitchen dude. now there's one that has crash landed in town."
However, when he looked back for his best friend's response, he slowed down a bit, because his buddy was way behind him.
"Hey man, you go on ahead! I can't keep up with your speed."
Nate shouted from far off.
"I'm out of it bro, I'll meet you there!"
Exhausted from the miles of sprinting, Nate just could not run any further. Stopping to catch his breath, he fell further and further behind. Andrew watched Nate huff and puff just for a brief moment before shouting back and then turning to dead sprint towards his home again.
"Alright brother, I'll see you there then."

Finally making it close to home on his journey back, he too was exhausted. Typically he would have made the walk back, and would have been home around dark, which was fine, since that's typically when Jerry passes out with his drunkard friends. This day was different. He had never ran so fast for so long in his life. Coming around the last turn to put him on his road, he could smell the scent of something burning become stronger with every step closer to home.
"Oh my god!"
After running onto the road Andrew could see smoke billowing into the sky from what looked to be the location of his house. He ran harder, only to become more and more shocked. His house, once visible, was in shambles. He stopped in his tracks. Where the white front of the house used to be, was replaced with a large enough hole to drive an SUV through. Most of the remaining structure was flaming. There was a large stone like object sitting directly where the kitchen should have been; a large trench dug out leading up to it. The fire fighters must have arrived not long ago, because they were still gearing up to go inside. They have always been slow to the scene in this neck of the woods. Looking over to his right, while still taking in the damage done, Andrew noticed Jerry's run down Chevy Cavalier sitting in the driveway. His eyes widened.
'No way. Is he home right now?'
Thinking to himself, Andrew looked over towards the house again, he noticed he could see through the flaming kitchen and into Jerry's bedroom. The room looked as though it had just caught fire and is now becoming more enraged.
'Oh shit man. No fucking way he's in there.'
*Zoom*
Not thinking any longer, Andrew didn't notice it only took 2 seconds for him to go from a ways down the road, to inside the living room of his house.
"Dad! Dad!"
Andrew looked at the house around him. The kitchen and the living room.
'This is it. This is what I saw this morning.'
Andrew looked towards his father's bedroom door, and his eyes fell on the hole he had left there this morning. Having some serious nostalgia, he yelled again and opened the door, which couldn't be locked anymore.
"Dad! Get the fuck up!"
Andrew walked around the wall blocking his view and his eyes got round as marbles. Jerry, lying on the floor was unconscious. He was laying face down with a large chunk of the asteroid, which seemed to have broke off on impact, was laying on top of the left side of his body. Only half of his body, as well as his head were exposed from under the rock.
"What the fuck?! Dad! Dad!"
Andrew, thoroughly freaked out now, stepped forward to try to aid his father.
*Crackle pop*
Andrew looked up to see the roof was breaking. He looked at the rock trapping his father and began trying to life it up.
"Errrrrgh.. Errrrggh.. Fuck!"
The hot rock blistering his hands as he tried to pull it off Jerry, he struggled through his already exhausted stamina, and kept trying.
*Creak Pop*
The roof began to crack and the flames were surrounding them.
*Cough Cough*
Andrew's lungs couldn't handle the smoke or lack of oxygen in the burning house. Between coughs, he proclaimed...
"Dad! You have to get up. Please for once help me! Get up!!"
Andrew gripped the rock with botch hands and firmly set his feet, he began pulling with all he had....
"Get uuuppp! Rraaahhhh!"
Andrew struggled only a few moments longer before the roof caved in and all that was seen was a cloud of dust.

Nate, having been picked up by a nice driver on the road, was headed towards the agreed location. Several minutes had passed since their separation on the road. Probably 30 or 45 minutes. However, he hadn't seen Andrew running as he moved forward.
'He isn't that fast. How could we have not seen him? It hasn't been a long enough time for Andrew to make it there.'
As the silver truck pulled up to the barricades that the police posted on either end of Andrew's street, Nate hopped out of the passenger seat and thanked the driver, before closing the door.
The driver waved, pulling away from the scene.
Nate looked at the police standing guard, smiled, waved, and then moved further down the road. Once out of sight, he went into the trees and headed towards Andrew's property, avoiding the detection of the police.
'Hah. Damn pigs. What do we even pay you for? Can't even keep a 15year old outside of your barrier.'
Nate laughed inwardly at the fact that he weaseled his way around the rules again. Coming close to the house, he stopped moving when he hit the light bushes surrounding the property. He looked around and was shocked.
'Woah. He wasn't kidding. It's even in the kitchen just like he said it was.'
Keenly observing the house wreckage, he recalled the vision that Andrew told him about. Thats when he too noticed the car in the driveway.
He immediately ran out of the bushes towards the firefighters, who were actively spraying high powered water hoses into the house fire.
"Hey! Hey! There is someone in there! Hey!"
Nate yelled loud and clear, scaring some of the firefighters there.
"Hey kid, what are you doing over there?"
The firefighter closest to him, Gregory, ran up to Nate and wrapped his arm around his shoulders.
"Come on kid you shouldn't be around here. This isn't a playground you know."
Nate grew frustrated quickly and shoved the man's arm away.
"There is someone in there! You have to go in there and save him! This is my friend's house and his father is in there! You have to help him!"
Gregory looked at the house, which was like a single massive flame now. Being unable to catch it in time, the flames raged out of control. He looked back to Nate with sadness in his eyes.
"Look kid, you should just be happy that your friend wasn't in there."
Nate looked at Gregory with a hardened expression, but just as he was about to blow up, another firefighter yelled out...
"Hey! I need a hand over here!"
*Cough cough*
Gregory and Nate both looked towards the house and walking out of that single massive flame was Andrew, and he was carrying his unconscious father in his arms.
*Plop*
Andrew collapsed, and they both fell to the ground. Firefighters rush forward.
"Help"
With the most raspy voice, pleaded.
"Please help him."
After that he passed out, and they were loaded onto an amulence headed for the nearest hospital.
