Jia xin stepped into ivys' mansion and felt different emotions brewing within her, the mother she hasn't seen for years was finally back home. She was happy indeed but she was also worried of what her return will cause.
Jia xin runs and gives her mother a big hug the moment she sees her standing by the door, she couldn't help the tears that fell from her eyes.
" mommy, i missed you so much"
" Xiao xin momma is back now. You don't have to cry"
Mrs Chen was so happy to be finally reunited with her daughter, it's the first time she is returning after years of being abroad.
Mrs Chen looked closely at jia xin, then smiled softly
" you are now a grown woman Xiao xin, forgive mother okay.i am sorry for leaving you ok?"
" mother, it's not your fault Instead we should be the one saying sorry for not going with you" Jia xin smiles softly
" Ning, how have you been " mrs Chen asked after seeing tang ning standing behind Jia xin
" Am fine auntie, you haven't changed a bit you look even more gorgeous" tang ning replied sweetly to mrs Chen
" you are still such a sweet talker" mrs Chen could not help but giggle
" alright everyone let's go inside and talk " Jia cheng suddenly interrupted
They all listened to him and walked inside the house.
A stylish chandelier is seen hanging on the ceiling, it reflected on the mirror like marble tiles on the floor. The living room was so stylish and elegant but it's beauty can't be appreciated because of the tensed atmosphere.
Jia xin and Jia cheng were seating on the comfortable sofa, but they both felt they were seating on a thin rope with their head facing the ground they dare not look at their mother.
The air around mrs Chen was so cold,She couldn't believe that her daughter was pregnant.
After they all entered the living room mrs Chen turned into an entirely different person, she elegantly walked to single chair that was designed like a throne and sat down, she motioned for Jia xin and Jia cheng to seat on the sofa after which she closed her eyes and slowly tapped her fingers on the chairs' arm.
" Now. tell me exactly everything that happened" mrs Chen calmly asked in a cold tone. Jia xin and Jia cheng said nothing but kept their head down
" have you both suddenly gone dumb? Ok. I will assume you guys didn't exactly hear what i said , so i am going to repeat it. Tell me exactly everything that happened" Mrs Chen stopped tapping her fingers and opened her eyes slowly
"Mommy, you see this, i mean everything i exactly don't know the details but i know Xiao xin is innocent" Jia cheng quickly answered. He was silently thanking God that chu min isn't here else he would have been hanging upside down.
" innocent you say?, you think i don't know that? Now you tell me why i shouldn't send you to chu min right now" mrs Chen stood up and pointed at Jia cheng
" me?... what did i do wrong, I'm quite innocent in all this but you want to send me to chu min. Isn't that just like sending the lamb to the lion, i am still very young i don't want to die yet" Jia cheng quickly defended himself
" oh you think i won't kill you at this rate!!, and you young lady. What is it? did you lose your tongue....Answer me!!" Mrs Chen yelled at Jia xin
" mom... mom..* teary eyes*.. mom i am sorry" Jia xin finally lifted her head and looked at her mother
" WHAT?....What did you say?* paced around for a while then stopped and looked at Jia xin* why are you saying sorry... tell me? And why are you crying? is this how i raised you to become, crying over everything, are you serious??...hold on a minute i still I'm not catching up on this whole thing so tell me exactly what happened" Mrs Chen was getting teary
" mom i'm sorry, it's my fault. i'm just so weak and stupid. You can punish me in anyway you want. i don't mind but don't get angry anymore* sobbing really hard with tears flowing down her face*...don't be angry anymore, you can punish me all you want but don't be angry at me any more i can't bear it...." Jia xin was still crying and talking when her mother suddenly hugged her
" my daughter is not stupid, and how can i ever stay angry at any of you *sobs*.. i just feel so sad seeing the world bully my precious jewels,*sobs*.. they've already taken a lot from us but this time i won't let them take away your good life, this time i won't back down i will fight for us with everything i have. I'm not going to run anymore"
" mommy...*sniffles*.. there's another thing you have to know" Jia xin said after breaking the hug. Tang ning who has been standing behind them like a statue suddenly held her breath while Jia cheng broke out in cold sweat
" ok go on, tell me" mrs Chen said softly as she wiped the tears on her face with her thumb.
Jia xin closed her eyes and took a deep breath before opening her eyes again
" the father of my baby is wang xi yi and we already got married"
"WHAT!!!!!"
Jia xin was quite busy in the kitchen, she was preparing dinner. She asked grandma all what xi yi likes to eat the most, Mrs kang tried helping out with the cooking but Jia xin wouldn't allow her she insisted on doing the cooking.
When xi yi walked into the house he was welcomed by the sweet aroma around the whole living room. He walked towards the dining table and was surprised by the huge feast and it was all his favorite
dish.
" young madam let me help you with that"
Xi yi heard mrs Kangs' from the kitchen, he still did not understand what was going on until grandma walked in
"Oh, xi yi you are back right on time. Jia xin made dinner" grandma winked at him. When Jia xin suddenly walked out of the kitchen wearing an apron and holding a bowl, she was surprised to see him but she was quick to regain composure
" you are back," she asked when xi yi took the bowl from her placed it on the table
" why are you stressing yourself, you should be resting" xi yi frowned after seeing her carrying the bowl
"I'm not handicapped, i don't need to rest all day long" Jia xin said after taking off the apron and passing it to mrs kang
" have a seat i prepared dinner" Jia xin added with a smile.
The trio was finally seating eating dinner,
"Jia xin the food is so tasty, hmmm" grandma complimented with a smile
" thank you grandma, wang xi yi tell me, how is it" Jia xin asked in anticipation
Xi yi looked into her eyes, he could see how eager she was for an answer and a compliment. He felt a sweet feeling bubbling in his heart when he heard grandma say Jia xin was preparing dinner and she actually prepared all his favorite dish.
" my wife is such a good cook, every dish is exactly to my taste" xi yi complimented with a sweet smile. Jia xin felt so glad she couldn't help but smile so widely as she placed more food on xi yi's bowl
" you two are so sweet " grandma added with a soft chuckle.
After dinner, grandma excused her self and went upstairs to get some rest. Now it was just xi yi and Jia xin at the table, Jia xin kept biting her lips and continuously blinking. Xi yi noticed this action and smiled because he already knew exactly what she wanted to say, Lang zhi informed him earlier that Jia xin's mom already arrived the country.
" spill.." xi yi said as his lips curved into a sly smile
