Lu Qingxian arrived under the surprised gazes of the crowd while remaining unbothered.
Behind him were the four other Peak masters. Tang Siqi snorted coldly ,once again folding her arms across her chest as she watched Lu Qingxian from not so far, her expression seemed to be full of disdain. The same goes for Wuo Tong and Liu Shen who each wore ugly faces upon seeing him except for Yang Mo who was still smiling gently although his smile appeared a little stiff.
All in all, they all did not expect Lu Qingxian to come down at this moment.
Moreover, they did not expect him to actually participate in selecting disciples.
Among everyone ,only Ming Yi, who was uncaring and Ye Shenyin who was radiant , were the ones who did not appear to be stunned.
In fact, when Ming Yi looked at Ye Shenyin, he found that Ye Shenyin seemed to changed into a different person. The Ye Shenyin he knew was different from this bright-looking Ye Shenyin.
What he didn't know was that the reason why Ye Shenyin's face was bright was because Lu Qingxian finally looked at him. If it wasn't for him standing behind Wuo Tong, he would have noticed the slightly dumbfounded expression of Lu Qingxian as he stared at Ye Shenyin.
Lu Qingxian didn't know why but he felt that this person seemed familiar. Back at the duel, Lu Qingxian didn't really paid attention to this person's face but now that he did, he actually felt a tinge of familiarity.
This stunned him.
If he really did know this youth then he should have recognized him already yet he did not. Lu Qingxian was slightly stunned but after contemplating, he came to a conclusion that maybe this teenager was a relative of someone he was once acquainted with.
"Greetings. I am Lu Qingxian of Spring Water Peak, The main foundation of Rising Mountain Sect." When his words fell, the crowd went dead silent, so silent that one can hear a pin drop. Athough everyone was silent, their faces however, betrayed their confusion and disbelief.
Although the existence of Spring Water Peak was hidden from the world, there are still some people who were aware of this Peak's existence and the reason why this Peak was hidden from the world.
These people were hidden in the dark and were slowly but surely spreading the existence of the hidden Peak from the shadows.
It was clear from the expressions of these youths that they have heard something about Spring Water Peak from who knows where.
Just as everyone was drowning in confusion and questions, Lu Qingxian unhurriedly spoke:
"From what i see, some of you might have heard of the hidden Peak in the Rising Mountain Sect. It is true that Spring Water Peak is the hidden Peak in this sect however, it was for a confidential purpose. This year onwards, Rising Mountain Sect happily reveals Spring Water Peak in the world!" Strangely , when his words fell, the confusion and doubt in the crowd's eyes were replaced by joy.
"Another Peak master?"
"So the rumors are true?"
"Whatever the credibility of those rumors , at the very least , we still have a chance to be an inner sect disciple!"
Lu Qingxian inwardly sighed in relief.
He clearly heard them and knew that those 'rumors' were not good. It's just that these youths were simple minded and clearly only cared about being an inner sect disciple.
This gave him a little breather. After a moment of pondering, Lu Qingxian no longer explained and picked six disciples.
The ones he picked wore expressions of total joy and relief
After picking out six disciples, others who remained were instantly divided based on their clan influence: the greater the influence, the most likely they would be sent to a better facility. Some were unlucky and were redirected to the foot of the mountain.
There are two types of Outer Sect disciples. The first one was the lowest one who lived at the foot of the mountain. As mentioned earlier, these outer sect disciples were the ones who usually dont have any advancement in cultivation and were competing against each other for recognition: they usually undergo labors such as errands or act as delegates for the sect.
The second one is called Outer disciples which were usually called the 'attendant' . These disciples have very little advancements and were living in a secluded area in the sect. These outer disciples were the ones who would sometimes accompany the inner sect disciples while occasionally learning from them.
And they can be recognized by a Peak Master at any time. Basically, the ranks of an attendant was only slightly inferior to that of an inner sect disciple.
Everyone who were escorted to different directions wore gloomy expressions.
They simply could not believe that even the new hope that descended upon them would not be so easy to attain.
This caused many of them to be unwilling and regretful.
"Qingxian, i would like to speak to you" Liu Shen was the first one to call out.
"You all can leave now" Wuo Tong also moved forward after issuing his order to everyone excluding Tang Siqi's faction.
Lu Qingxian nodded to Xiao Ying, indicating an unspoken order before turning to look at Wuo Tong and Liu Shen who wore either confused or enthusiastic expressions.
"Senior Wuo , Senior Liu" Lu Qingxian bowed respectfully
" Qingxian, how long has it been? You seemed to grow quite the influence" Liu Shen waved his fan as he spoke.
"Aiya Liu Shen, don't be so insensitive. A'Qing, why don't you come with us to celebrate him? After all, having disciples for the first time is not easy so we should enjoy first!" Wuo Tong chimed in cheerfully. Out of the Five Peak Masters, Wuo Tong was the oldest followed by Yan Shan, Liu Shen, Yang Mo,and Tang Siqi. Lu Qingxian was the youngest.
Practically, Wuo Tong was also the most sensible among everyone and knows how to read the situation. After hearing Liu Shen's disguised accusations, Wuo Tong immediately scolded him and comforted Lu Qingxian.
Lu Qingxian who appeared like a timid junior to them, showed no reaction. After a moment of pause, Lu Qingxian looked to Liu Shen and asked: "Senior Liu, is there something I can help you with?"
"Tell me, did... Sect master Yuan really issued a definite proclamation about revealing Spring Water Peak?"
