'Alessia won't be able to react in time...
Emir is going to-'
Suddenly, I feel as if the movements around me start to slow down.
No sounds.
No movements.
No scents.
No life.
"NOOOO!" I scream, flexing and moving my body at an impossible speed to get between my two lovers.
I then guide Blue Wind to stop Emir's lunge and prevent the dark blade from piercing completely into my girlfriend's stomach.
Because of the speed at which I am moving it, it almost seems as if Blue Wind's tip is multiplying, giving the mistaken impression that I am holding some sort of trident, which coils around Emir's sword and stops his attack in its tracks.
Emir is thrown backward, jumping to avoid Blue Wind's blade, which, despite not touching him, leaves a long gash in the clothes covering his chest.
Now that I'm closer, I can see that, fortunately, Emir's blade only managed to superficially scratch Alessia's skin.
My girlfriend doesn't waste a second and quickly starts running to pick up her sword.
' - This feeling... I haven't felt it for a long time, but… I think I can hold it at will right now.'
Suddenly, both Blue Wind and I begin to glow with flashes of pale blue and gold light, which start to turn into tiny floating specks of light.
Then the little lanterns of light commence to swirl around us protectively, while my body moves at full speed automatically, perfectly blocking and deflecting each and every one of Emir's attacks.
It is almost as if my body somehow knows which way it has to move to carry out my desire to hinder Emir, and it performs those movements perfectly before I even have time to think about them.
As Emir and I continue to move, I see several motes of light move away from my body and toward Alessia, after which they begin to swirl around the girl's body.
Now both I, Blue Wind, and Alessia have faint motes of light flying around us.
I can then see that the young girl has already recovered her sword and is approaching us, and at the same time I watch in surprise how her wounds are slowly healing on their own.
' - This... It's just like what happened that time with my old group... That time I thought it was some kind of miracle when my old group was suddenly healed and strengthened in a mysterious way. But clearly I was wrong... That time Delia's protection saved me and my friends... Delia's appearance and personality give the false impression that she is a weak and young person... But I have already seen that I cannot trust appearances when it comes to her. I was already wrong in prejudging the age I thought she was, and now with her physical capabilities. I won't be wrong a third time... She's fighting Master as an equal... Good thing she finally decided to help me... Anyway... It seems that, since these shiny things came flying at me, I don't feel unnaturally heavier anymore... However, I don't know how long the effect will last... Now it's our time… We have to knock Master out!'
"Keep it up, Delia!..." says Alessia, as she joins Emir and me in our dangerous choreography.
"... Master is strong, but I'm sure he won't be able to take on both of us at the same time!"
"I... I don't know what I'm doing... It's a bit of a weird feeling..." I say in an unsure voice.
"... It's like my body is moving on its own."
"Don't worry, sweetie. That's called natural talent. Your body is moving by pure instinct..." says Alessia, smiling for the first time since Emir started attacking us.
"... You just keep embracing that rare sensation, and you'll see how, in a few moments, we'll have saved Master."
...
During all this time, while I interrupt and hinder each and every one of Emir's movements, Alessia has not stopped hitting our boyfriend's head at the slightest opportunity.
Ever since I started helping her, she has been gradually moving faster and faster with each new blow that connects, while her eyes glow mysteriously with a soft bluish color.
She has also been giving him numerous horizontal cuts on several of his limbs, but Emir's wounds are still healing.
However, now that he hasn't been able to cut either of us for a while, his self-healing speed has become significantly slower.
That's why Emir's body is gradually being covered with more and more wounds and bruises.
As we fight the dark stormy mist surrounding Emir's body starts to expand sinisterly towards us, but fortunately it doesn't seem to have the slightest effect on us.
Slowly Emir's movements become more and more frantic and desperate, as if we were finally pushing him to his limit.
Suddenly I hear a deep male voice in my head.
However, somehow I realize that it is not me to whom the voice is directed, but the weapon in my hands.
' - Hello, beautiful. How come I've never seen you before? I thought there would be no more weapons like us. I even thought I was the last one who hadn't been destroyed… I'm glad I was wrong. Where were you sealed? I imagine they had sealed you somewhere if they couldn't destroy you. That's what they did to me. It's a pity; I would have loved to have us sealed together.'
Blue Wind: !!!
The feeling that intrusive voice arouses in my mind is different from Blue Wind's.
Blue Wind's voice is clearly a separate voice from my mind.
But this male voice is catchy, repulsive, and aggressive, and it feels as if he is speaking from deep inside me.
I feel as if the owner of the voice is taking a small part of me every time I hear it.
' - Who are you? How are you talking to me? Only Delia is supposed to be able to hear me.'
' - Ohh, sorry. My manners are rusty after so long... although I really don't know how long I've been sealed... time isn't something that's very important to us, is it? I'm Zariche, the demonic sword. What's your name?'
' - Are you the sinister sword that my creator is holding? What did you do to him? Why is he attacking my Delia?'
Zariche: !!!
"Alessia, Emir's sword is talking to Blue Wind..." I say, slightly dazed by the fact that my mind has suddenly turned into a chat room.
Fortunately, this daze doesn't stop my body in the slightest, as it continues to move autonomously to continue fulfilling my wishes as if nothing had happened.
"... I don't like to feel his voice in my mind. It feels... dirty. What should I do?"
"Ignore the sword's voice as best you can. This is good news. We now know that it is indeed the sword that is controlling Master..." says Alessia, smiling fiercely, despite how shaky her breathing is and how drained she looks.
"... And we also know that the sword must be starting to feel pressured. That's why it's trying to distract us. We just have to hold out a little longer, Delia, and we'll succeed in freeing Master from its grip."
' - Ha! Those girls know nothing... But that's not relevant... Tell me, my beauty, did this brat make you? How is that possible? The primordial forces weren't supposed to be able to influence the world as directly as before... the class system came about for just that... for balance and all that. Haa... now I understand how it is that someone found me... After all, there were supposed to have been various barriers that prevented people from finding me… But if you're in the outside world, there also needs to be an opposing force.'
' - I don't understand anything you're saying! Don't talk to me!!! It's because of you that I'm having to stop my creator from harming my friend.'
' - That was always the problem with you ones originating from the sacred and order... you care too much about nonsense. Why should you care about your carrier? There's no point in getting attached to people. They live too little. Wouldn't you rather accompany me? This brat is quite strong, despite how young he is. I'm sure he could use both of us for quite a while. He's a bit squashed right now, but I can heal him quickly as soon as I get another taste of fresh blood.'
' - I'm not going to answer you anymore! You're despicable! I... I could never betray Delia, especially not for someone like you.'
' - Ouch... that hurts. I was just trying to be friendly but... Haa... anyway, you won't be the first talking weapon I have to destroy... I was probably freed because of you, but now that I'm free, I don't need you in the world anymore. I don't like the idea of destroying a newborn, but there is no other choice. It's not your fault, little one. We are too incompatible and I... I will not allow anyone to store me back in this filthy labyrinth as if I were a mere trinket!'
Suddenly, all the remaining blood in Zariche's veins begins to concentrate on the blade's edge, giving it a bright red color.
At the same time, Emir's blows begin to focus almost exclusively on hitting Blue Wind's blade, rather than my body.
After several strikes, with horror I begin to see how, little by little, more and more small cracks appear on Blue Wind's blade.
However, Emir is also nearing his limit, as his wounds no longer exhibit any signs of healing.
His handsome face is deformed by so many of Alessia's blows he has received, and the skin of his extremities is covered by an infinity of cuts.
However, that's not a problem because, as long as he doesn't die, I can heal each and every one of Emir's wounds.
But I know that I am completely powerless to heal Blue Wind.
I haven't stopped moving at any moment, because I know that's just what Alessia needs from me, but I feel that this fight is tearing me apart internally.
Each new wound on Emir's body makes me shudder internally at the possibility that maybe we're going too far.
And the condition of Blue Wind, my dear companion, also scares the hell out of me.
Despite her silence about it, I am certain that her condition will eventually reach an irreversible point.
'I don't know how much longer I can go on like this...
This is terribly wrong...
At this rate we're going to end up destroying each other.'
' - D-don't w-worry about m-me, D-Delia. I c-can kh-keep it up a-as l-long as it t-takes.'
Despite the spear's words, I can see the cracks along its blade growing larger and larger.
And I'm certain that the moment my companion's life breaks, something inside of me will also break forever.
However, just as the horrible sword is about to strike Blue Wind's blade again, Alessia and I watch in surprise as suddenly the disgusting artifact disappears from Emir's hands as if it had never existed.
