She lies beneath me, flushed and trembling, her body still shivering with it, and she looks up at me with dazed, worshipful eyes. "Tell me what to do, Ben," she whispers. "I'll do it. I'll be whatever you want."
I stroke her hair back. "Good."
And then I raise my voice, just enough. "Girls. I know you're at the door. Come in."
A frozen silence. Then the door opens, slowly, and Dana and Gina slip in, their faces flushed, caught between guilt and excitement. They were listening. They heard their mother come apart.
